I loved this show. It’s a sweet and straight forward romance story full of charm, humor, and emotion. I was engaged the whole time and didn’t find it boring or dragging at all. I think the amount of drama was perfect and realistic as opposed to unnecessary break ups or contrived miscommunication.
The story line was very interesting and there was a lot of charming side characters but I didn’t care for ML and FL relationship. I was invested in Fengjiu and Dong Hua instead. Im happy they have their own spin off.
I don’t think I can ever get over this drama. The chemistry and banter between the leads was one one of the best I’ve ever seen in a drama. I laughed, I cried l, I smiled from ear to ear. No show has ever called me out for being single the way this show has. Yes the second couple was a drag, yes the last 6 episodes are unnecessary, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly.
I had to drop this after episode 2. FL is just way too obnoxious and acts so unrealistic of that time period. Also how did her child version come off more mature and elegant than her as an adult? Makes no sense.

This makes me feel better for dropping it after episode 13 lol. I could finish it but I can’t be bothered to. I’m not invested enough in the story and it’s kind of boring.
Zhang Ling He is pure eye candy. The cast was very likable and had great chemistry. I wish we could have gotten a wedding scene. I’m also surprised there wasn’t an implied bedroom scene given how the ML and FL were all over each other throughout the whole show lol.
That one Nicki Minaj quote sums up my feelings about this drama perfectly; "I never found you funny, I never found you entertaining, I never found you smart, I just found you annoying".

I cried, laughed, got upset, got happy. These were characters who had genuine care, respect, and understanding for each other. Even when their motivations may have differed.
I went into this show expecting a lighthearted and interesting love story but it was so much more than that. I hope new watchers love it as much as I did.
