this is a review sight. why would anyone tell you to shut it when you're just giving your opinion on a show? actually…
There is no need to hate on you for expressing your opinion. This is a social platform and everyone is free to express what they think. Everyone has different tastes and that’s fine. Though I know there are a lot of haters here who can’t accept that others might think differently than themselves and attack you for every little thing…
Anyways, bakc to your comment. I somewhat both disagree and agree with what you said. I agree that Gmmtv is lately getting really lazy with putting effort into quality writing and quality cinematography. But I don’t think they’ve ever had many good quality drama. They are not famous for that aspect. They’ve had a few peaks but everything before, around or after those few were just meh or average at best. So it’s not like they are getting much worse, they are just staying the same.
I disagree with generations of bl fans. Though this might be just my personal opinion and experience. I am older bl fan (just to be clear, not that im old, just that i’ve been watching bl for a long time LOL) and i’ve watched countless of different bls from various different countries and i’d say im quite an experienced watcher, but i still eat bls like this up and enjoy them when im in the mood. I’m not getting tired of light, easy plots that feed into my delusions. Idk, sometimes I just want to enjoy something light and fluffy after a long week, and Gmmtv is perfectly fine for that. They have many different genres and plots for every mood i am in. So no matter how lazy they are, i think i’ll still continue to watch them.
After all, it’s just a tv show and we all know nothing is real and we’re here for entertainment. If I enjoy it, I enjoy it. If I don’t, then I’ll just stop watching it. I’m no professional judge of shows. I’m just here to have fun :)
It’s okay, people have different tastes after all :)
It's just different tastes, that's fine not to like smth. Personally I didn't like The manipulated and Dear X. I found them both extremely boring and had to put them on hold.

Hmm, I think It's because usually when a kdrama is adapted from a popular webtoon, it's not that well done, they change the plotline, they mess up the casting... But this is one of the rare cases where the adaptation is very well done. They stayed completely true to the original webtoon. The casting for all characters is literally PERFECT. It's really satisfying to see a webtoon you love come to life like this. And it's even more amazing because this webtoon is really hard to adapt into a kdrama, because it's not so much action or plot driven but character driven and the characters are all very eccentric.
I feel like it's very underrated. Objectively it's nothing special, there are some things to complain about, but it's entertaining and I'm really enjoying it so far. First 3 episodes are a bit slow and boring but it starts getting really entertaining in episode 4, and especially the second couple's plotline gets really interesting.
Many people call it cringe but I personally don't find it cringe at all. It just has the normal amount of cringe like any other thai bl drama lmao. I've seen far worse and far more cringe bl drama that people loved and with a better rating, so I really don't understand the hate on this one. Maybe because it doesn't have popular actors...
Anyways, if you want to watch a serious, high-quality drama then this one is not for you, but if you want to watch a cute, entertaining, low attachment drama to pass time, this one is perfectly okay.
I don't know how to feel about this special. I have mixed feelings. On one side, I'm glad to see them together and to see what happened to their story after the events of the series, but on the other hand...
They seemed so out of character in this special. Everything from their chemistry, behavior and facial expressions - to their personal fashion style and hair. Idk how to explain it to make sense but they seemed like completely different characters from the original series, even though the actors are the same - it felt like I was watching a completely different series with different characters. I don't blame the actors, they did good. I blame the writing of course.
I know not everyone will agree with me on this but to me, when I am watching a series, a character's personal style is a big part of their personality and character and I hate when in specials like this or season 2 they change the whole personal description of characters just to keep it up with current trends in fashion. It just feels very forced and unnatural. If you're going to make a special episode, at least make me feel like i'm watching the same characters from the original series.
What happened to the chemistry between them? It vanished. The writers are coming up with these weird non-nonsensical…

It says this aired in 2023 but am i the only one who feels like it was filmed way before that? According to the fashion style, the hairstyles and the cinematography, this feels like it was filmed around 2020, or even before that. The whole drama has a vibe of those older Taiwan bls from 2017-2020.
