I avoided getting sucked into the hype so I wouldn't hate or love this drama before I watched it. Maaaan, it was so good (in the eense that I enjoyed it immensely).
It needed to tone done the flashbacks and the amount of times 'Auditory Hallucinations' played, (a great song now burned into our memories :\) and in the beginning I was so done with the chaebol politics.
But I still really enjoyed it.
Because Ji Sung. Because Shin Se Gi. Because OMG THE LAST TWO EPISODES.
But mostly Ji Sung. He was so amazing in this drama!
I conclude with: it wasn't perfect, and it was a little shaky in getting relations straight (for me, at least), but it's enjoyable! I honestly only watched it because I wanted to se his personalities...
Anyway, I highly suggest people stay away from the hype and judge it themselves...
Honestly, I had really mixed feelings about Sung Soo, but I guess we can give him points for legit regret.
On the other hand Sung Hyun's breakup over the last two eps made me so sad!
Was a pre good drama.
The first five or six episodes, (the child actors <3) and episodes 15 and 16 were the best in this drama, imo. Honestly the grown-up Yeon Woo drove me up a wall with her niceness. She was too 'perfect'... @.@ I don't think HGI acted poorly, but her character was too nice omg I couldn't handle it.
I really liked Seol tho QAQ and I hope I wasn't the only one shipping her with Woon...
Also wow, I'm kind of surprised that I didn't care for the second lead as much as usual. I guess he struck me more as pitiful this time around, lol.
I'm still slightly amazed at how many people liked this movie, and how it managed to get an 8 on MDL...
Just recently rewatched this (by dragging my parents into it), and I still can say it wasn't very good, in my and my parents' opinion. It's rather poorly constructed...
Ahh, two years is too long to not see him on my screen. I think I'll have to watch everything he's in to compensate... I'm sure the sheer episode count of My Daughter the Flower will stretch the time. xP
I need two comments, lol. Legit, I loved this drama.
It's hard to stop watching. I found it to be one of those dramas that just dragged you along with it and you can't really do anything about it.
And there's Ki Dong Chan. <3 He's an adorable character.
Biggest problem is the amount of red herrings and stuff. This is definitely not a drama where you would take a break between episodes, because I got lost in names and situations and stuff. The last half is, admittedly, rather complicated.
NEVERTHELESS, if you're looking for a mystery, crime, action, melo (but not too much) drama, definitely watch it.
I don't think I can recover from this one...
OH MY GOSH THAT ENDING, I'M DEAD. I don't usually mind open-endings, but oh my gosh that was so rough and too abrupt for my heart. IT HAPPENED SO SUDDENLY.
I'm just sitting there watching as Dong Chan finds out about the original timeline, and I'm thinking 'omg this is amazing I can't believe it', and then I take a look at the timestamp and there's like less than a minute left.
Reaction promptly went into: 'oh my god no way this isn't real no way he wouldn't'.
THEN BAM. HE'S DEAD. THE WATER WENT SPLOOSH.
AND THE TIME FAST FORWARD.
I am just at a loss for words...
I wish it had been a cleaner open-ending. I love the ending but it's just too abrupt...
also I hope I'm not the only one who truly was wishing our ahjumma to divorce her husband and get with Ki Chan... Ahhh, k-dramas.
Still on Team Sechan... Aaaaanyway, this show should be watched only if: one, you can handle the music, which is pretty High School Musical style, though it's nice; two, you can completely ignore the angst and watch solely for the comedy, because it was legit funny; and three, if you can stomach some poor writing and second lead syndrome...
However it's entirely in Korean, so unless you can understand some... You won't be able to read it very well...
I loved him in "Bad Guys" too! And Ahn Kil Kang in "Surplus Princess" killed me. I've decided to become a fan of his after that lmao.
