I watched the drama after it finished and I think that helped me in liking and focusing on the drama more. No stops no nothing just hours of watching. What also really made it enjoyable was the cast. I've seen them from the start of their acting careers. Which is a little bit crazy cause it was only by coincidence that I saw there first gigs as supporting or side characters. I also saw the dating show that Seo Ji Hye joined in years ago and she resembles her characters to a degree, very cute and a little bit naive. It just fascinates me that I grew up with there career's, which is similar to seeing child actors getting older. About the story, I really enjoyed it, that's it, it picks up the pace quite a bit after the time skip. Also the romance is quite fast, which is acceptable as their is a ten episode set up for them to be in a relationship. Really enjoyed side characters like the grandma and Huiju. After a long time of watching dramas ever since I was a kid, I mostly get annoyed with how bad a plot or how bad the editing is rather than intentionally annoying characters. The chemistry between all four was amazing, pretty much the highlight. Also the improvement of the girls in acting was great to see. I wish they the girls could get casted more. Everything was good or great so yeah. This is a great recommendation for beginners. It's not too draggy but not too fast. Also wish the second couple had more screen time such cuties.

Right in the middle

If you're looking for a short sweet story then this is it. You can't expect a masterpiece though. Saw an edit of this drama on tiktok, and I went to see the cast, i was sold after seeing that I already watched the supporting cast aside from the main leads. First episode didn't hook me, but it's a cdrama, some of the best gets better later on, and this one did. Though you actually see how limited the budget is for this drama, especially at the last few episodes, I mean they didn't even have a marriage scene. I like how linear and non complicated the plot was but it became ridiculous at times, especially at the end. There is not a single person who survived being under snow for a whole day, sure I'll let it go, but the male lead was picture perfect after a month. How the heck did snow even exist there were no river or any body of water on that map, regarding the place they were fighting for, there were a lot more but oh well. Anyways, the best thing for this drama was the characters, pretty nice characters I would want IRL and the annoying characters were exiled, dead, or just gone. Is the female lead in a relationship? Because every time they kissed her mouth was stiff as hell. Zhang Yangling kissed much better than the female lead. Still, the chemistry was there, because if not, the ratings of this drama would be worse and I would have dropped this drama in a heart beat. The acting also got better when the drama reached the twentieth episode, as the plot made it possible for heavier acting. Still, it kinda felt off, especially early in the drama. Overall, the writing was below average but it had its redeeming qualities.

Sorry I came for a Laugh

First of all I kinda expected the ratings to be this low due to the concerns the viewers had with the story. Nevertheless I enjoyed it a lot. I came for a laugh and it delivered, I even decided to skip some of the scenes that talks about issue's regarding, well the hardships of women in male dominated fields. I feel like the reason why the story was a little disappointing is that, they tried to differ from the usual, romantic route and the this is a message to the public route. They used the gender swap and showed some issues that a woman faces, and yet it never went full on redemption arc, it was lacking to viewers. Another is that they could've went with the usual, I was too bad, my life becomes shit, I learned my lesson, now I changed for this new woman I met, trope, ikyk. Maybe if they just decided to lessen the mom's involvement and rather focus, on the leads story together and or alone. Also no romance is an ok decision as I feel like it would be way too fast, unless they decide to forward time and add time for the lead in moving on, still that's marriage right there, I understand why they didn't go that route.
If you watch it just for laughs it's good. But if you care for it to be a masterpiece, it's not for you.

A rewatch after sometime

Wow, this drama truly deserves it's rating. I wish I could forget this series and watch it over and over again. It is that good in my opinion. This rewatch was a little bit different from my first watch, this time I watched it as a business student. I was much more engrossed in the, venture and career aspect of the drama. They actually talk about things I learn in university, it just adds to the charm of the drama. What I think is the best about this drama is it's set of characters, they have thought in them, they have distinct personalities, they felt like real people. Unlike lead centric stories where supporting characters are just there to further the romantic progress of the leads. In this drama a lot of the characters are actually fleshed out, in fact the romance between the leads progressed so naturally without the help of the supporting characters, that's what I also really like with the slow burn romance here, no unbelievable scenes, like accidentally kissing, accidentally hugging, stuff like that, yet it never felt boring, because they showed how love is nurtured, they started as strangers, they became friends, they began to have feelings for each other, they couldn't realize those feelings at first but gave in after realising that they can't move on, they sacrificed and helped each other to be together. It's so much better than clichés like contract marriage ( i still watch them if the chemistry between leads is amazing lol). Not just romance, everything was depicted really well, from friendships, to the community, hardships, family dynamics, so on so forth. It's a really well made drama. Very recommended.

Comeback of Ju Ji Hoon to romcom and paired with jung yumi, as a long time kdrama watcher who wouldn't be interested in this drama. Well, after watching it it was very decent, nothing incredible or nothing crazy but it delivered the romcom genre really well, never too comedic, never too romantic, never too dramatic. Also the cast for the young characters were pretty nice, especially Haesu, and young Yoon Jiwon, they're both "actress"pretty. I liked that the love triangle was handled really well, nothing too frustrating and the second leads character was really commendable. What they did a little bit iffy was how forgiving the grandfather was and how easily did characters forgive each other, but to be fair it's only 12 episodes. Also nice cameos in episode 12. Overall, it's really decent, it's easy to digest and good for some laughs and romantic thrills, it's some extra dopamine pretty much.

Perfect blend of genres

My second ever review. Just for documentation. First of all undoubtedly a great drama, but I think I might not rewatch the drama because the unknown drives the story a lot. So knowing everything would definitely lessen my enjoyment of the show. Second are the characters. Jiao liqao was such a funny, annoying but funny and a great character to me. This character is a woman with a mission, her obsession was actually enjoyable, unlike Shan Gudao. This guy is such a weak villain for such a great story, it was so obvious after a while and his background as villain was similar to your regular joe who was jealous of someone, like he's similar to Zijin who was also jealous of Xangyi. I think the villain was just underwhelming. The best thing out of it is the emotional turmoil of Xangyi, and the continuation of the story without much plot holes. Other than that I enjoyed every other important characters, they were not one dimensional and felt like actual people whether bad or good. Really liked the hints of romance in the drama it adds a whole lot more to the story, especially the romance between Di feisheng and Jiao Liqao hahahahahah. The ending being open was definitely just sad. For me seeing him die or be alive or having a definite conclusion. Would make me happy even if the ending was sad. I mean Xangyi was just chill with dying, like let him rest if he wants to, but I also understand the want for him to live. I kinda wish that there was an alternate story where instead of shan gudao it was di feisheng who Xangyi trained with. The rivalry for the two would have been much more healthy and much more better, I say this because of the personality of Di Feisheng and obviously his talent in fighting. It's rare for me to want a different version of a drama, it's just that they could definitely change things up and it would still be an interesting drama. Will definitely miss this drama and I hope something like this would come up again.

Documentation, adding data to my list, lol.

First of all, great acting from all the cast. I can't imagine trying to act like they are in love when in reality or in the background they haven't met that long. My main dissatisfaction is, I think they couldn't bring the original material into the screen well enough that it greatly hindered it's quality. Unlike other manhwa where you are abundant with content to show, the manhwa this show derived from is apparently short. In my opinion or guess they wanted the show to last at least 10 episodes, to cover the costs in production, so they added stuff that is genuinely not related at all to the story, one example is the company owner who went bankrupt, after watching the show he had no actual purpose whatsoever in the story. I honestly think that they should've just added more to the story to comfortably make it a twelve episode drama, and to also make the story more comprehensive. As seen with the reviews and comments they are confused, and were bored, and lastly disliked it, due to a lot of reasons. First is that it was about a guy stalking a girl, obviously we see the story through the pov of the ML so it doesn't come off as too creepy but can you imagine it in the real life. Second is that the pace is really slow, I understand if the plot needs the drama to have a slow pace but this time it was due to production reasons. But for the third reason I will blame the audience, I think the drama isn't confusing at all and wasn't made to be confusing at all, it might be because of translation error or something but, as long as you actually watch and read the subtitles, there is no way, at least to me is this confusing. One thing is the chemistry wasn't great in fact, I was amazed that they could form tears interacting with each other even though they've rarely met in the background. Unfortunately the ending felt like nothing to me, the chemistry wasn't great and it felt forced that the two couples loved each other especially the second couple. To me they needed to revise and add stuff to the story while still being faithful to source. Great music, cinematography, acting and all that but the plot was too cluttered with unnecessary and uninteresting stuff. Also the electric romantic chemistry wasn't there. They felt like new friends that only began in getting close to each other. Gave it an eight due to the potential it had and because of the other good qualities it had. Maybe the trip to Austria costs too much lol.

Revenge in a world run by money

I wanted something different from romance so I watched the first episode. I instantly got hooked with it. I mean when you see a white haired guy, won't it catch your attention. Anyway, other than synopsis, the casting was enough for me to watch the pilot episode and it did not disappoint. Although nothing crazy happened, it was not needed, everyone acted really well and I felt like I was watching real people rather than characters. The story was intriguing from start to end. It's always cool to watch someone be perfect in the corporate world. I have nothing to say about it really, it's better to watch it yourself. It's a great drama if you are bored of the same old usual.

Well Done

I wasn't really keen in watching another fantasy C-drama. But for some reason I got intrigued by the synopsis of the drama. I thought it was already complicated, but I was interested in enemies to lovers that involved second chances, stuff like regression and reincarnation. I gave it a try and I didn't get hooked hahahah maybe because I was tired watching overly dramatic scenes that are only possible in dramas with magical powers. So after some time, actually after it finished airing I watched the pilot episode again and this time, I was more interested but not totally willing to watch until the end. Fortunately, Mu Qingge was really intriguing, it was the first time that I had a crush on an actress and her character, well Crystal Liu was my childhood crush, that's beside the point, it was definitely a new feeling considering I never felt that way besides when I was a child. I also really liked the dynamic of Su Yi Shui and Mu Qingge in the beginning that, I find the starting dynamics of Xue RanRan and Su Yi Shui boring, still it was fun, and had good comedic moments, but the romance felt like watching another series from years ago. Still as it progressed, I find it ok especially when RanRan was starting to chase Su Yi Shui and when RanRan was starting to know her true identity. After that it was really nice. The chemistry was there but it didn't felt like they were truly in love, if you know what I mean, chemistry that would make you ship them IRL. I also liked the amnesia era of Su Yi Shui, we saw a mix of Mu Qingge and Xue RanRan trying to make Su Yi Shui fall in love again, that was fun. The chemistry and acting between them was much better in the last episodes, well It should be because it's the end game but still, it was definitely a noticeable improvement. This drama also had great supporting characters. Wei jiu was really comedic, they did a great job transitioning him as a annoying villain to a hesitant stupid villain friend. His antics with Elder Tu was definitely nice. Even though in the beginning they were serious in killing the leads, can't forget that even if they were friends in the end, but hey it's a fantasy drama. Dun Tian was a typical villain in a sense, he felt like a kids movie villain, was a chill character in the start but is secretly evil because of some regret in the past, a trope I see in animated movies. Still, it was ok , the character was definitely amazing at scheming, my guy had numerous back up plans, I honestly believe that without plot armour the Leads would've lost. Mu Ranwu and SuYu, they felt the same but had different upbringing, one was a prince, while the other was a normal person who wasn't as talented as her sister. The effort, the beliefs of both was very similar, at least to me, the obsession they had was only second to Dun Tian. Man were they annoying but respect for not giving up until they literally couldn't go on. The other died and the other is broken. Still, I understand in a world with powers, I too would wish to have at least a decent strength, I would want the ability to at least make my self safer and easier, still hot damn my girl was definitely way to jealous of her sister. Unfortunately for the Prince he got hoed by his brother, without that as a starting point of his change in nature, maybe his obsession with Mu Qingge wouldn't be that great and he might've looked at Fei Hua, and also without the manipulation of Dun Tian. The two subordinate and three disciples of Su Yi Shui. They are friends that I would like to have, so loyal and upright, a real one to each other and the leads, nothing much to say, exemplary characters that should be reflected in real life. Mr. Zheng is also one of them, my guy was really chill, bro was a great friend and also a great teacher, he had realistic opinions, he's a real one too. The heavenly sects. I thought they would be annoying until the end with most dramas having them like that, very close minded and even at times greedy and well evil. They were actually, well most of them, were upright and just. Still, they were close minded, and had a great development, accepting even the notion that demonic sects are all not evil. This move is something I really like, something different from the cliche of heavenly sects in drama's. The story well although not unique, was really well done, adding things that are uncommon, making it more enjoyable. The music was also nice the production knew when to use them. The Effects although at times noticeably bad, was good. Overall, it was great drama. This review is one of my longest one probably, goes to show I really enjoyed this drama. Also looking forward for Julia Zhang's career.

Its a survival story

Damn, nothing crazy about it but it was well done. You could say the story was ok and it definitely felt like one of those stories where the theme is the survival of someone stranded on somewhere. You get my point. A miraculous survival story. The MC is extremely lucky to have met the people he became friends with. Because at every point of the story it could've been up for him. Still, I don't mind it cause how else is the story going to progress. Just like I said it's a survival story. Nothing else really, it's ok and well done, it's not bad or boring, well depending on the watcher. It's ok for a one time watch if you have nothing to watch.

Wow, took me long enough to finish the last two episodes lol. Kinda got distracted by another cdrama. First thing is the leads are legit perfect, sure the ML lied, but like legit nothing else is lacking from them. They remind me of modern drama's where the leads are perfect. Still I think they had to be perfect for this plot to work. What I am talking about is that they had a lot of bs moments where everything is solved by leads no matter what. But hey it's a drama so whatever, but they did a great job shaping the characters up as competent people. Second, the couples are amazing, all three of them were enjoyable. Especially the empress and the emperor they were a suprise to me, they were the most interesting at the end, the dynamic they had was unique compared to the other two. The empress also became my favourite character by the end. She was graceful and true to herself, she felt like a legit person compared to others. My favourite arc was when the FL knew she was lied to and split up with the ML and the ML still tried to be with her. That is when I realised how good the leads were at acting. Especially that scene where the FL stabbed the ML near the heart. The biggest weakness to this was the fact that they didn't finish the main problem and waited until the last episode to get rid of the villain. In return we only get to see the peaceful and happy ending for like 10 minutes. I think they ran out of budget lol. Overall very enjoyable, cam be recommended to people, and it can be rewatched, honestly every romance drama with a happy ending can be rewatched.

Could be too melodramatic.

How should i say this, recently I have been watching japanese movies centered around romance. So far this movie is the most dissatisfying, not necessarily disappointing, since i didn't know what i was getting into. When i saw who the leading cast were i was really excited. I am an avid fan of the two so to finally have them together was nothing but exciting. The performance they gave, is enough but lt lacks chemistry. They did great for individual scene's and also the prison scene, but it felt like they were focused on how to act and portray their disabled character's. The plot also is a huge issue, in my own opinion it's unnecessarily melodramatic, i feel like they really tried to have a unique storyline. Unfortunately it felt forced and far from the title. With an already sad backstory for the leads, especially the male lead, why would you add more unto it. This felt more like silent suffering than silent love, especially with the amount of violence and depravity in the movie. Half of the romantic scenes is literally, the male lead working his ass off for a performance and the female lead walking with the male lead. Like what the hell man, they should've just focused in the romance of the two. They also should've fleshed out the female leads character to match the male leads. Other than that the cinematography was good but nothing spectacular. I could even score it lower, but i can see the effort done into it and it's not a complete mess. Also one plot point they could have done is the disparity of there social standing in life, i know it's generic but this time they have disabilities so, hahahahah. I don't know it's just not romantic. Also what kinda ending kiss is that, who in there right mind would kiss someone after almost getting into an accident, the same goes to that scene where the female lead gets bumped into and panics because of the crowd but suddenly the crowd disappears when the male lead shows up, like what? Those scenes pissed me off when they were obviously making the movie "realistic" with how melodramatic it was, should've sticked to a more romantic plot. Wouldn't really recommend it, especially if you want a sweet romance but it is has a charm to it, overall it's decent.
