I feel like this point got really overlooked so I'm glad you pointed it out. Jack was good friends with Boston and Top. That's the connection between this cast and the cast form the first series. And they were shitty guys who slept around didn't commit. Jack isn't this great guy from the very beginning. The ending of the show really bothered me. But I think it was intentional for the reason you said, to lead the viewer to those two possibilities. We never really saw Jack move through his shit and grow like we did with Dean. Even at the end, the way Jack explains his break-up with the doctor shows how he basically is still just using people until he is done with them. though I do think he really loved Dean unlike any of the other guys. Maybe this Jack Great encounter and it's the set up for a third season.
what is MODC? I haven't felt this way since Lost You Forever... and I never wanted to feel this way again. sigh, they did a great job with the abstract story telling...the first foreshadow of it i was like...no...they wouldn't....they did :(
seeing lots of people say it was bad. I thought it was actually really lovely. Yes, there are low production issues, of course eps are too short. But the actors did so great. The story does flow, has depth and realism. It was the main plot of these stories that had me so interested in the first place. For me, I felt a lot of heartbreak in general for all idol and trainees who go through things that we don't see or understand. And I think this drama did a good job of bringing attention to struggle idols can go through and that they are human too.

I thought the further I got into this series Type would mature and stop mistreating Tharn but now I am watching episode 9 and I had to stop to see if anyone else decided he is a piece of shit toxic fuck. Does this at least change in season 2???? Not sure I can keep watching.
This drama didn't really deal with homophobia. It dealt with something bigger. Barth wasn't sent to the school for conversion therapy. That was never put forth in the script. He got kicked out of his last school for fighting. He ended up at the catholic school because his family was catholic.
The biggest question this drama dealt with is - will God still love me if I am gay and can I still go to heaven? That's a huge question in christian /catholic society for those in same sex relationships. And this show did an amazing job showing Tanrak struggle with his fears of this and acceptance of where his heart is on it. And the show did a great job showing the friends, family and priests being very compassionate and understanding of Tanrak and Barth - I never saw any homophobia. There was contention with the dishonesty and hiding that Tanrak was doing but it wasn't about him being in love with a man. This show was truly masterfully and lovingly done.
hahaha was this meant to be so hilarious? Good writing. Pretty entertaining and heart warming to watch the two 30 yr old virgins freaking out like kids falling in love.
