i love the "you are so honest. what the heck" bit :))
omg yes that conversation felt so real!! like legit that's just how things are sometimes, it's complicated yet it's pretty straightforward. it won't be like some weird kdrama trope where they just keep dragging the misunderstanding
side point but i am so glad NJH is finally having some sort of a comedic role?? His expressions in ep 8 were SOOOO funny. and it could easily be switched to charming and handsome in a split second, i love it so much :')
"I was thinking about you just now" *shows newspaper headline that says "highschoolers who are active in online chat rooms can't spell"* HAHSHSHHSHH I DIEDDDDD
• The freaking cinematography in the whole fencing match. I swear I was on the edge of my seat the whole time • The sweet smile YJ gave HD when he was about to interview her • when coach yang mi was sooo proud of HD :’) • the press conference scene and the following argument scene, dude that writing was top notch. U could really FEEL the tension between them and every line was so sincerely delivered. “It’s my right to appeal the call” “It’s your duty to accept the call” :0 :0 so heartbreaking so tense so conflicting !! • when present day HD asked her daughter “do you like ballet or the compliments?” Ugh that was so powerful. It really showed how HD was truly passionate about her craft and how that often meant sacrificing and suffering for it. • when HD was soooo sad and she was desperately, desperately trying to show YJ why she just KNEW she was the faster one. The desperation in her eyes and YJ’s openness to her vulnerability just made me 🥺 • ugh EVERYTHING
I’m just happy that there is no love triangle. It should be the norm. Like you can write tension that doesn’t…
Omg I know! Im so glad that there is somewhat a “triangle” still between YJ-HD-YR but the girls have their own fight for their own personal reasons, not just about boys
seriously this drama makes my heart feel so much. it makes me yearn for the simpler times, for when you meet people by chance and they turn out to be your bestest friends for the longest times. they turn out to be people who help you want to live life. I love this.
tbh if they really don't end up together...i think it i will be ok :')
i think the point of this show is to help you feel nostalgic and reminiscent of the "simpler" times while also making the larger point that life is not a fairytale and often does not stay the same way.
it doesn't mean life is horrible or worse off. It is definitely different from the "simpler times"...but it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad ending.
It's like how your first love may not be your end game in real life, and that's totally okay. While at the same time, your first love kinda sticks with you for a long time. I feel like this show is a love letter to all of our first loves. Just saying "Thank you for the memories" :)
Made sure that there was a romance tag..Because that scene in episode 4, present year scenes where in Min Chae…
I read somewhere that they DO eventually have a huge fall out when she became an athelete and he became a sports reporter. he did something that harmed her career/reputation or smtg like that. but at the end of the letter he said he was gonna meet her again... so idk man
this was in some tvn website i found a few days back haha.
