I agree, ratings are subjective, and I don't mind or even care if people rate 10/10 something just because they love an actor or something else on the show, but I still think it's hypocritical trashing a show for its bad writing but don't do the same for others. I'm not saying, people should rate this or anything else higher and love it, but it's still unfair (?) imo.

This is the reason I always ignore ratings, and even reviews, especially comments. After 20 years, I can judge anything based on a short description or trailer.

Sure, I get that, and IF I will finish it I might have a similar opinion, but a lot of people overreacting here in my opinion, and as I said, it's kind of weird seeing so many people arguing about the writing when the same people don't care about writing at all when it comes romcoms or other genres. I'd love if people keep the same expectation about everything, but I've seen so many people saying: "Writing is not important it's just a romcom." etc, but we could say the same about any genre honestly. That's why I can't take people seriously who complain about writing once in a while.

I'm not here to defend the show after watching 2 episodes, but one thing is for sure, Kdrama fans are hypocrites! They're moaning about writing and all that, but they don't do the same when they rate 10/10 copy and paste romcoms with the same writing quality, because their fave puppies are so cute on screen. Somehow the story and writing is not important there.

Imagine if people rate every show and movie the same way they do with this! We wouldn't have so many overrated bang average romcoms here.😂 This is why I said, ratings should be removed entirely because it's not important and misleading so many people, just like the negative comments.

It's really good so far (after 4 episodes), and yes, it's predictable, but the writing is good. I'm glad they don't mess around with the plot, we already know the most important thing. Who wrote the book, so everything else about that is obvious.

Good to see this Chaemin guy proves everyone wrong because they're amazing with Yoona. I love how this show uses food to bring up memories, or calm down the King. That first part is realistic, I know how it feels to search for a meal you ate as a kid but no one can make it now.

It definitely changed, because he already wrote a recipe for Yi Yeong's meal and that wasn't in the book originally.

Technically it's not incest, but it's still weird as hell, and I'd bet my whole life on it, they won't do this. A plot like this would make people skip the show for good. Also, I don't think this drama is going to be overcomplicated, it's pretty straightforward since the first minute.

The fact that you didn't realize the scene with the fake crying was overdramatic and ridiculous on purpose speaks volumes.

I watch Kdrama for almost 20 years, but never seen a single character who wants to be in prison, let alone two! This is peak comedy!😂

Because it's not that deep, it's just a show, I'm 100% sure it wasn't made to offend anyone. Just like comedians do, they're making fun of everyone, that's the whole point of comedy and stand-up. Now, we live in a snowflake society with cancel culture. You can be canceled for the most ridiculous things, and that's nonsense!

Also, it's massive hypocrisy, because 99% of people don't give a damn about other cultures or social issues, they just love moaning about it online to gain attention for themselves. That's why I said, people who actually belong in this culture didn't say anything about this. It's usually white kids on SNS crying about it, fake Social Justice Warriors.

I never do FF that's such a nonsense, don't know why people do it. I might watch it sooner because now I'm curious. I like shows that doesn't spell out everything more than the others.

ATCY is in my PTW since forever, but I'm always watching something else.😅

I don't have high expectations with Kdramas except if it's my fave genre like time traveling or time loop. To be fair, I don't want much, just explanations and the writer have to follow their own rules. That's not much. This one couldn't even do that.

It's a good movie, but I don't think people are hyping it.

Based on the ending, I'd say they lived in the US for a couple of years, and now everything is okay, because he wouldn't come back otherwise, and he looked happy as well.
