I'm the first person who says, ratings don't matter especially on MDL, because most people can't give lower score than 8, but this drama deserves the perfect score for sure. I mean, I had to wait 20 years to give 10/10 for something. Also, it was written by the same woman who wrote "Fight for My Way" another amazing show. So, it's not surprising that this one is a masterpiece lead by one of the best actors, writer, and director.

I mean, if Lovely Runner deserved a 10 from you, this should be 100.😂 No offense.

The writer portrayed perfectly how real people behave honestly. Especially kids with their parents. Kids usually realize too late what they should be thankful to their parents, and just like Aesun said, even parents don't know everything about their kids.

I'm sorry, but it's obvious you didn't pay attention, because you don't understand these characters at all. After 4 episode, you should know them by now. I mean, I get if someone don't like this style because it's too real not some fantasy, but what you said about the characters is just being ignorant or what's worse, maybe you just watched it on 2x speed or as a background noise as many people do that nowadays.

I only have D+ because of the kids of my sister. Yes, Bilibili only 720p for free and that's not good. You can use better sites like: Betterflix or Asiaflix, or Dramaday for direct downloads, but I don't like using warez anymore. Especially if I'm already paying for a streaming.

VIKI is not much better than Disney, especially with their crapy 720p quality. It's the 21st century, but they still don't have 4K or at least FHD. :D FHD is the minimum I want!

Koreans have their on streaming sites as well, plus Netflix, Disney etc, but it's not like they need anything, because they can watch anything live on TV unlike us. :D

But you have to pay for the better quality, it's easier to use VPN for Disney+ and it's cheaper too, but I hate to do that. I don't want to use illegal platform or workarounds to watch something legally when I'm already paying for Disney+. It's not like Disney can't make these Kdramas available, they just don't want to do it.

It's coming in the 2nd half of 2025! The bad news is that Disney+ want to buy it, so it means, basically no one can watch it. I'm seriously done with Disney. Why bother buying so many Kdrama if it's only available in 3 countries? Canada, UK and Australia. I hope Netflix will mess up their plans. You can say whatever you want about Netflix, but at least they know how to promote Kdramas, and everyone can watch it legally. I'm not paying a lot of money for streaming to use Warez or lame online platform with crap quality.

It's not a sad ending, but there are a LOT of sad moments, just like in real life. This show is about real life based on 3 generation of a family. I don't think it's as depressing as My Mister, but it's not a lighthearted show either. It's a lot of fun, and a lot of crying as well. 😅 But one of the best written show with strong female characters. I don't even remember when was the last time when every female character (male also) were this well-written. All the tiny details that you can only understand if you watch it multiple times adds a lot to it as well.

You need at least 20kg tissue for crying.😅

It "feels like a series about life", because that's exactly what the show is about. 😂 It's not a fantasy with big monsters or a typical romcom with the usual family drama and some random serial killer villain out of nowhere. This is a hardcore real life drama.

The rating is not high because of IU and Bogum. In 20 years, this is the first time I rate something 10/10. The writing, the directing and the acting is basically perfect. Just because there are others shows with similar concept, doesn't mean all of them are perfect too. It's not easy to write a poetic show like this about 3 generation of a family with a lot of characters. Just like Flower of Evil, this is one of the best written Kdrama I've seen in 20 years!

I mean, true, but it's not like he's forced to mention this, especially, because this Commentary was made with Netflix Korea. Anyway, what he said is true in this case, because he only said the translation of the poems is great, not the whole sub, because I don't think he watched the whole show with ENG SUBS.

I'm not fluent in Korean, but the poems were well-made, for sure! The subs overall were decent, I didn't find anything bad, like I usually do most of the time. Even if you don't speak the original languages, it's easy to spot if the translator made a big mistake or even little ones.

FINALLY! The 50 minute long Commentary with ENG SUB is available on YT! The main cast and the director talking about the show while watching it!

Side note: The directors himself said, the ENG SUB on Netflix is really good, especially the poems!

I'm not talking about the last scene, but I'm pretty sure the whole 2nd part of the 2nd season was about the first guy and Yumi getting closer to each other again.

The whole show is significant to me, because it tells an important story about 3 generation of family. It's obvious you don't like real life drama with mature stories, so yeah, there's no point watching it if you only like cute romcoms where the couples only getting together in the finale.😅

Calling it boring is just lazy, like I said, it's not a real opinion. So many things happened in the first 5 episodes, saying it's boring is just being ignorant.

Like I said, ratings on MDL and in general doesn't mean anything, because most people give 10 or 1 anyway. Most people don't know how to rate. I gave 5/10 to Lovely Runner, that means it's average, basically. So, it's not hate as you can see it.

You don't have to write a whole book about any drama, but saying it's boring is just lazy and not a real opinion, like I said.

Anyway, I don't want to change your mind, you won't watch the whole show anyway, so there's no point talking about this. You clearly started watching it for the romance, even tho this has one of the best written romance I've seen in 20 years! And it has multiple couples, btw. This is the first Korean show I gave a 10/10 in 20 years, I have 15 Asian drama including movies I gave 9/10, everything else is lower, so you can see I'm not biased.

I love IU, she's my fave, and many people love her other show "Moon Lovers", but I just hate how they ruined it.

Because it's not a real opinion, it's no different from saying: "It's crap." You only watched 5 episodes, and I won't spoil it, but this isn't just about romance, this is about FAMILY, and trust me, the romance is anything but boring. It has a LOT of fun moments as well and the couples doesn't have the usual happy ending, like I said, this is a real life drama with real life problems, if you just watch 1 more episode you'd realize, btw. Not every drama has to be entertaining in a way like a comedy, or a cute meaningless romcom, this drama is meant to teach you an important lesson about life and family, not to mention women empowerment. I don't even remember when was the last time I saw so many strong and well-written female characters.

I don't care about the rating on MDL, 99% of the drama is overrated here, because people don't want to give lower scores than 7/10. They say: "Oh it wasn't good, yet they still give an 8/10 score.

Lovely Runners started out great, but it's obvious the writer made the rules along the way, and she doesn't know how to write a time traveling story. There were more plot holes in the story than characters on the show. It's not the worst show of all-time, and I'm not a hater either, but time traveling stories are one of my faves, and I don't watch Kdrama because of cute boys and girls or the romance. If something is about time travel and has its own rules, the minimum I expect is to stick to it, but the writer kept changing the rules in almost every episode. Not to mention the absolutely ridiculous finale where she changed the whole past, so people can forget her, but yet her grandma still remembers, and later everyone will, because why not? They can remember a past that never even happened. Makes sense, right? No it doesn't.

It's not even close to "Twinkling Watermelon" that is also a time traveling show.

It's not an action or thriller, what did you expect from a real life slice of life drama? Also, I'm sorry, but I can't take anyone seriously who give 10/10 to Lovely Runner, one of the worst written Kdrama ever, and call one of the best written Kdrama boring.

Don't get me wrong, you don't have to like it, but saying it's boring is just ridiculous.

The writing is bad to say the least, and the 2nd guy was irritating as hell. That's all I care about, not the romance. Not to mention, she basically slept with the guy the minute she broke with the other, they ended the 2nd season like she's gonna end up with the 1st guy, but now she's gonna have a 3rd one. Ridiculous. But the worst part is that her imaginary friends or whatever we should call those are not interesting anymore. It was fun in the 1st season, but in the 2nd season it was boring.

WHY? They already messed it up with the 2nd season.
