For me the only thing that matters is a well-written script and good acting obviously. I've watched 100s of movies and shows with the same or similar plot. 99% of romcoms are basically copy and paste too, but I still loved a lot of them.

Jisoo is not a great actress YET, no one starts out great. Not even giants like Meryl Streep. Also, a lot of Kdrama actors are average at best. So, it's not just Jisoo. Not to mention, her roles are not really diverse, just typical romcoms or comedic roles. I've seen some clips of BOD and it was so cringe, but it's not really her fault, but rookies like her usually fail to make shows like this better.

Let's be honest. Just like haters hate something for fun, most fans are blindfolded and always rate everything 10/10 if their faves release something. This is not about Jisoo or any other Idol, it's about every celeb. I have a lot of fave actors and Kpop artists too, but I would never rate something higher that it deserves just because I love them. I've dropped multiple shows with my all-time fave actors.
That's why I said, there's toxic hate and there's toxic positivity as well. Especially in Kpop and Kdrama fandoms. The lowest rating most people give is usually 8/10.
