wow, both Kim Hee Jung & Ban Hyo Jung together, and as daughter/mother relationship? I sense a lot of maternal interference in this one.

Title For Eagle Brothers Spoiler
I can only imagine what the writers must think if they read these comments? I agree with everyone that the series has lost its overall point and is now adrift with excessive characters that distract from whatever the main story line is supposed to be at this point.

Maybe they should change the show's title to "WHO CARES ABOUT THE 5 EAGLE BROS?"

IMO, they took a quirky, funny series (with mild romantic undertones) and makjang-ed it, which may go over big for the domestic audience (all the producers really care about) but leaves the rest of us asking "What happened?"

For me,this all started with a change in 3 characters: 1) Director Seo's exile -this actor lit up every scene he was in and provided a funny counterpoint to the evil Dongo Tak. His removal turned Dongo Tak into a 'Snidley Whiplash" caricature of a villain. 2) Hani's birth mom - do we REALLY need her here? We all know she'll eventually kidnap the baby which will be the act that will reunite SeRi & the Prof....how heavy handed must the writers be? Total Makjang here. 3) JangSoo's ex - what did we gain from the 3-5 episodes she was in? That was just silly filler.

FWIW, as far as GS goes.... Her "reluctant bride" bit is wearing on me fast. Why can't anyone simply bring up that she STILL hasn't accepted that her ex is gone? Her behavior around the chairman is lukewarm at best and she's happiest when doing favors for him, not being affectionate. The chairman is in the Friend Zone and she's fighting to keep him there. Consider this: What does GS do when she's alone? She's in the brewery stirring pots. All by herself. This is her safe space and where she used to to to talk to her dead ex. She still communes with him there, and there is no equivalent location for her to spend time with the Chairman because she has no happy place for him in her heart. Until someone (her mom?) sits down with her and gets her to admit she's not ready to leave her ex, and abandon her duties as 'oldest sister in law' this will continue until something drastic happens (which has to be, I don't think the writers will leave their half-hearted love story be).

I'll say it again: This would have made a much better 36 episode series. KBS should have stuck to thier guns for weekenders going forward from Iron Family

I guess this was an OK weekend, and 46 was the better of the two. I'm really not sure anymore of where the story is taking us, other than showing us the FL is trying to be nice to everyone who ever existed? At any rate, I only have 2 observations:
I thought Mr. Go had an apartment off-site from the brewery? Did he always live there?

The best scene of the weekend was the opening of the scene with Bom & Gwangsoo at the Bar.....with her choking on her beer at the bomb the LT dropped on her. Both funny and cute, it makes me mad that we never got a chance to see a relationship develop between them.

Yet another meh-weekend. Rather than try to view this as a series, with a consistent flow across all arcs, I now just think of it as a collection of scenes: some excellent, others OK, the rest "who cares?"

The scene that stood out for me for both episodes was The chairman trying to deal with both MILs in his office and the exasperated look that AJW had. He stands out to me as the best thing in this show. It was prolly the best scene this show has had in the last few weekends. Conversely, the worst scene was seeing the perpetually-sulking SeRi back in her bed, moping away in the daytime. I don't blame her mom for day-drinking!

FWIW, I too am frustrated with the less than enthusiastic FL regarding the Chairman...she seems to be more interested in being a mother hen to anyone who wanders into her family, than caring for her own heart.

Title For Eagle Brothers Spoiler
It was an entertaining weekend, but only 2 things stand out to me:
I think in Saturday's ep, the meeting of the 'sisters' at the convenience store showed the women present for all of the Eagle Bros except for KangSoo. I felt this foreshadowed what many of us suspected all along - that Bom & KS will not get a chance to be a couple. I hope I'm wrong, because I really liked their chemistry. Also it was interesting that she did not wear the otter necklace to the family dinner in Sunday's ep....maybe not formal enough?

the other thing was the inevitable arrival of the MIL in Sunday's ep. As we speculated weeks ago, there would have to be some other source of conflict for our leads once the Bros approved of the Chairman, and it looks like she just arrived. I still think the leads won't be truly free of any obstacles until about 3-4 episodes before the finale (it just how KBS rolls with these weekenders lately). I'm sure if the MIL fails, then Dongo Tak might try something as well. At any rate, her arrival for no reason (it seems) suddenly is just too much right now. Oh well.

I paused the latest episodes. I'm not ready to be frustrated. I'm gonna wait until the problem episodes and solution…
watch the last 10 mins of Sunday's ep. It's OK and makes you ask "why bother with all that crap from the rest of the weekend?"
On For Eagle Brothers Jun 10, 2025
This weekend's episodes weren't worth commenting on, especially given the nice ending to Sunday's ep. Soooooooo...I'll just pretend they didn't happen.

Thank you for this well-thought-out response.

Hahaha reading the korean chatroom, netizens are crazy and their makjang brain is even more wild than the writers.…
Love it! I would like to see a simpler, more brutal followup - The Chairman tells HS, "since you take offense to my actions, I will immediately cancel the 200 sandwich standing order." HS can't say anything, OkBun finds out what happens and she closes the shop and he goes back to the Sauna. BOOM.

between this and love is sweet , which one should i watch first
Love is Sweet is kinda your typical Rom-Com, but very good....if you've seen TTEOM, you'll love it since it's the same leads. This is a very different kind of drama, because both main characters aren't really nice people. I recommend reading the web-novel this was based on first, for a better understanding of the leads. It's a pretty fast read because it omits all the business back-story and can be found online, search for 'accidental love' which is what the title was supposed to be.

Who do you mean by "that bunch of losers", the brothers? All of them?
Yes, I meant all the brothers, except for ChunSoo who has been supportive of her and her efforts to keep the brewery (and his family's legacy) going.

I was especially disappointed in BeomSoo & KwangSoo just standing there letting the dancer spew venom. To his credit, BS told dancer to be quiet once, but one or more of them should have removed him from the room and not let him hurt her. After FL went to BS at the school earlier that day to support him with SeRi, he should have been in her corner and defending her. Shame on him. I get that KangSoo is probably stunned to learn that his SIL is seeing his supervisor's father but as a former Military Officer and man of action, to just stand there expressionless and poleaxed really got on my nerves. And they showed us his lack of reaction deliberately. Finally, as said earlier, CS lack of telling MiSun what is going on is a bad reflection on his character. But at least HE stood up forFL.

And as far as the dancer goes, he is the ultimate loser in the family. I won't repeat what we all know. He's served his purpose, let him self-destruct by having OkBun learn of his outburst and dump him so she can hook up with the Vet. Let the dancer be a background character who can go back to the Sauna after losing the toast shop because he can't even manage it right because he keeps ducking out to spy on OkBun (having LX hotel cancel its standing order would be a nice touch too) . Maybe in the last episode he meets a nice woman at the Sauna, and that's the last we see of him.

I would like to see the whole dancer/OkBun/Vet arc minimized now. The real problem with this show is trying to follow 4 couples. I haven't seen a weekender that can do it yet. It's Beautiful Now tried with 3 and ended up sacrificing the youngest couple, 3 Bold Siblings tried with 3 and ended up scaling back the lead couple, The Real Has Come tried with 4, ended up scaling back youngest and minimizing all the others at the end. I really wish these KBS shows would just stick with 2 well-developed couples and be done with it, like so many other drama formats.

What a weekend! As usual the comments here do not disappoint. My thoughts:

Ep 35- Mr. Go's "I PLEAD THE FIFTH" had me in stitches. That and MiSun taking in SeRi were the best parts of the ep. But we all know, 35 was the setup for Sunday's episode.

Ep36 - For the first time in this series I used the FF button. I had no intent of watching CS's ex screw things up . I get that the writer thinks they have to fit into the weekender formula, but REALLY? How about NOT falling into that trap? And if KBS had stuck to their guns, and kept with the 36-episode format going forward we could have avoided all this crap. So here we go, roll out the past failures of the previous 50 episode weekenders for the last 2 years as we go round and round again. How stupid! And while I'm ranting, I really hate the Dancer, PLEASE write his character out and have OkBun dump him for the vet so he can spend the rest of the series repenting and maybe get a redemption scene in the last episode (a BRIEF scene).

And by the way, what was with Bom's sullen reaction to the news her dad is dating?????

The good news? The other developments weren't bad, and at least they gave us her mom's reaction and their dinner with the Chairman. And once again, they gave us a killer ending. Her mom was GREAT and gave that bunch of losers a real piece of her mind. And praise the heavens for The Chairman taking her hand and going back to give that bunch the stink-eye. I can't wait to hear "What have you done to make my girlfriend cry, after all she's done for you?"

It was funny. Chairman acting like it was the most natural thing and like its not the first time.
AJW has the role of the Chairman down so well, I can't stand it. He's got every facial expression, and gesture down pat. His smug satisfaction expression every time he thinks he's done something clever or sweet just KILLS ME.

Drama is being extended by 4 episodes or rather the plan on KBS is in it final stages. So it will most likely…
Thats great to hear, thank you . Writers must have a plan!
On Are You Human? May 29, 2025
Finally got around to watching this and I liked it. I think it kind of stumbled when he revealed his identity at the stockholders meeting. And to be honest I got real tired of the Villain and his facial expressions....enough already.
Leads had good chemistry, I really liked the FL, good supporting cast, and soundtrack was really nice too. Surprising the budget these older KBS2 shows had, compared to today....so much better CGI, location shoots, etc. Night and day compared to now.

Funny thing is, I don't know what to think of the human Nam Shin. I want to hate him for his crappy personality and actions, yet I think, how would I react if some machine came along and stole my life and it got all the praise and I was left holding the bag? I hated the human, but I also pitied him too.

The scene at the mausoleum was perfect. The writers continue to do such a great job with the main leads. Wonder…
Agreed totally on the mausoleum scene. We finally got an inkling from the writers that he understands what she's been going thru (avoiding dealing with her husband's death) and that he needed to give her a push in the right direction so she can get on with life.
Is he being pushy? Well, yeah. But how do you think he got to be a CEO? It wasn't by letting the people around him proceed at their own pace, but to bring out the best in those around them so they can grow into their own potential. He just needed to tweak this approach for her and he did so.

FWIW, I too want to see more of the youngest couple. I am MUCH more invested in them than the hairdresser/loser. OkBun needs to dump HS and bring in BSH as a supporting character now, not Guest Role. HS should end out the series having learned this lesson and being a better man for it...they can introduce a new love interest for him in the finale.

Interesting. Did you see "Love Reset" aka "30 days"? There it was depicted (IIRC) as being a 30 day cooling off period.
