They were actually pretty enjoyable this weekend!! Thank for the reminder about the fan club number…I did actually…
I just re watched the whole scene and it was really well acted. Her awkwardness matched his, and her sense of impending disappointment as the discussion went on was visible. I really like her, she's a very good actress. I really can't wait until they start to develop a relationship.
"I had a fan club?" "Yes" "How many members?" "Seven"
Not gonna lie, when she said "7" I lost it and started laughing so hard my sides hurt. Plus it winds up that he was a backup/background dancer for the group back in the day.....LOL
Just finished it, and it was good, but I think she was better in HCCC, and her chemistry with Kin Seon Ho in that series was far better than here.
What happened to her ex-bf and his wife the HR manager? Did they divorce/split up? That storyline seemed to fade out towards the end.
Lee Sang Yi was excellent as usual, and it was really gratifying to see Lee Yoo Jin, who was terrific in 3 Bold Siblings....I hope for more great roles for him!
It will be an almost impossible mission for Beomsoo to date and marry Seri. Firstly, her mum is so against him…
Run away and elope? We've seen that cliche before. It would be just desserts for her mom to lose her daughter that way. Plus it gets BeomSoo away from his ex.
I’m hoping they’ll get more screen time once they start spending more time together
I'm hoping they end up working together, they need something to increase their time together. I hope they dont wind up being neglected like many other KBS weekend younger couples (It's Beautiful Now, The Real Has Come, etc).
On the other hand, Bom's new supervisor had me scratching my head, wondering where I've seen her before. Finally realized she played the Nun in The Real Has Come.
Ep 21 was cute, I was hoping that either the FL or Chairman would mention that 'this is the most pathetic first date in history' as they sat their reading comic books in her hospital room, both with their IV stands. I was disappointed that Gyeol (who was in a Commander's uniform, but the subber called him 'Captain') didn't volunteer to help KangSoo accept the job offer from Bom & their Dad....maybe later? That's a relationship (Gyeol/KangSoo) that shouldn't go to waste.
On the other hand, I pretty much figure fate will again place an incident in Bom's future where KangSoo will have to save his damsel-in-distress and maybe that will seal the deal that he should take the job just to be near to her?
Anyways, the last few Saturday episodes have been kinda 'meh' so this was a nice change of pace.
Ep 20 was fun, but the 'heart-warming' scene between the hairdresser and the piano teacher seemed out of place. Since when would they be so nice to each other? Maybe I missed something.
I think it's inevitable that something is going to happen to either her or most likely Dancing Prince where she is going to have to save him from something (WTOD?) so he can see her in a different light. We've seen this too many times in Dramaland.
Otherwise, my favorite scene was when the Chairman suggested to Bom to hire the LT as an intern....the look on her face was GREAT. She really played that scene well. The LT and Bom are my fave couple, I must admit.
I think we got a little preview of the upcoming make-over of the hairdresser with that little scene in the Sporting Apparel store. Her natural beauty shined thru with the outfit she bought. All they need to do is have her ditch that perm and restyle her hair.
I liked it. While it didn't break any new ground, it was entertaining and that's all I ask for one episode per night. It seemed to run out of steam at the end, and I wish they had brought back MoEum but it is what it is. Looking forward to SoMIn's next project.
One thing that struck me was that Park JiYoung was filming this at the same time she was doing "Iron Family" on KBS, and she's essentially playing the same character (working class mom, wants to brag about her kids, etc). I wonder if that was confusing for her?
While Ep 17 was something of a drag, 18 was really good and funny.
I gotta say, the best character on the show is the Silla CEO's secretary. His facial expressions alone crack me up and add in his great body language and he's hilarious! He certainly seems to be having the most fun of any actor on the show. Too bad the credits here for the cast are so sparse, I'd like to see what other series he's been in.
Won't happen until late in the drama. But his karma is that the person Dokgo Tak loves the most will the disappointed/embarassed…
I think we saw the foreshadowing of this in Ep 16...where Tak's wife saw her (assumedly estranged/abandonded son) with the daughter of the NX chairman. So she loses her chance to be affiliated to that family via a son she abandoned and her husband loses the affiliation via his daughter to the other son of the Eagle Brewery.
Jung SoMin is such a pleasure to watch, I'm really enjoying this one. Great cast and good chemistry/awkwardness for the leads. Supporting cast is spot-on too.
