I do agree with you, it was heartbreaking to see ML’s admiration and love isn’t reciprocated. I think his actions says it all how much he cares for FL. At this point ML can only accept that the FL’s highest regards for him is as a trusted confidant. He was so happy that FL in her drunken state said that JCY is her husband. That sweet smile when she said that just kills me 😅

Actually I obtained a lot of Chinese actors info from MDL , if you click on the cast it features the other works they’ve been in, ie Wu Niang was in LLTG and her brother was in Follow Your Heart

Rewatching ep19 the first 5 mins I missed this detail the first time.
When Mr3rd proclaimed the peonies he had to pay for are great as gift for his wife, the other male guests wanted to also buy for their women, but MD said the entire batch was already bought by JCY 🤭 . He bought those for his woman too but disguised as a business deal 😝
