Once again I think she was self-sacrificing, she knows she’s not good for his health, the man is literally dying every time they exchange senses.
She wants him, but he doesn’t belong in her world, he’s a fragile human with a huge heart; Duan Xu with his sacrificing personality, knows no bounds and will keep exchanging until his last breath.

These two are the most self-sacrificing characters I’ve seen in a while.
Duan Xu is literally sacrificing his own life force just to be remembered by Simu, not wanting to be a burden, he refuses to ask Simu for help even during a 3 day battle.🥺
Simu is truly a lonely soul, trying her best to convince herself that Duan Xu is just another human, one of many. She decides her brief happiness is not worth Duan Xu’s life in exchange and ends their union.😭
