Yup I experienced it as well, there is a bit of inconsistent editing at the start of each episode, the drama team thinks of us audience very high to expect us to match few points from the previous episodes, like Yan Chi was going to ask for an edict to transfer him and the next episode starts with receiving an imperial edict with no context
