I am so disappointed with this, I've been waiting for it when it started filming! It's such a waste of a great cast,I love XSY, LYX and FYL but LYX's character is such a Gary Stu there's no space for development for the other characters! I really really wanted to love him but he's so smart and invincible that I stopped caring early in the story. I was so excited to see Xiao ShunYao as Shen LangHun, he kept working even if he injured his back badly during filming, I feel sorry for him that his character doesn't get to shine.
FYL's Liu Yan was bit better written and he managed to break my heart a little, especially all the flashbacks with LYX. There's many good supporting actors and actresses but their characters are so stereotypical it upsets me. Also, aside from LYX and Bai Shu they are all dubbed (even if both XSY and FYL are perfectly fine using their own voice), that tends to take me out of the story.
I'm finding solace with the team-building variety show, XSY, LYX and FYL are hilarious and adorable in there.
A refreshing take on the revenge drama tropes, the topics are heavy but it's surprisingly easy to binge. The cast and acting are STELLAR! The last few minutes and twist are unnecessary so you can stop after the "ashes and embrace" scene.
watching for Wang ZhuóChéng and Xuan Lù but I'm suffering... the plot is so STUPID. ML is a disloyal Gary Stu and FL is just... childish and stupid. and her dubbing is AWFUL. I feel like flipping table every time they are on screen. l'm taking a break after ep 12 and maybe fast forward to my secondary pair's parts when it's completed.
