Oh, I had no idea! Thanks for telling me. Though.... dang. Well that makes my experience with that series so much more depressing.....I just don't think I have it in me to go back and try to rewatch it. I got to about episode 9, I think, and gave up. But as you said, at least there is still their other series - Remember Me was cute. I don't know which interview you're referring to though. It's so funny watching them in interviews/ behind the scenes. Do you happen to remember the name of it?

Oh I couldn't agree more! I was so saddened about Ja and First's latest series and DID stop watching it. (Btw what's this about Ja and First's 'final' outing??) Anyway, I totally feel your pain, and could easily name a few other series that drove me up the wall with some less than ideal characters. 2024 is looking great though with some of my fav actors making their return to the screen!
We're being blessed with new and different themes in BL, going forward, with such productions as The Sign, Red…
Completely agree with you regarding the, seemingly endless, trope of whiny leads. It makes watching some of these series very aggravating, and for me, brings down the tone of the show. Hopefully 2024 will see less whiny characters, more mature relationships (or at the very least, less problematic.....if you know what I mean) and some more interesting themes. I'm looking forward to the Vampire Project at any rate.

I would definitely like to watch a season two, if they come out with one. I think they did a really good job of explaining everything well for those like me, who didn't read the novel, to be able to understand everything. It was just at the end (clearly, lol) that there was an issue, which is too bad.
But everyone talking about the novel is getting me intrigued.....

Oh it's in the novel! Ok, thanks for letting me know. I didn't know there was one. I might look for it. Anyways, thanks for clearing up my confusion! I kept rewatching the ending of the last episode trying to figure out what I was missing lol

I clearly misunderstood something! Do you mind telling me how you know that the Yai who appears at the end is a reincarnation? (That sounds stupid, but I wasn't sure if maybe there was a detail I missed). I know we get the note that Jom reads on the back of his drawing, from his Khun Yai, about how he would be dead etc., but the Yai that appears at the end is introduced by Jom calling for 'Khun Yai' and him responding. Obvs you watched it too, but I'm just explaining my pov. So....considering its a show about time travel, and considering the random bonus scene at the very end after the credits, I thought there was more time travelling happening or something. Also, thanks for clearing up some apparently key points I missed.

Hear me out.....I like a 'happy ever after' as much as the next person, but only when it makes sense. If you get what I mean? In the context of this story, it just didn't make sense to me. There is no context for Khun Yai just appearing. Like, did he time travel? Is he a ghost? Like this opens up such a can of worms.........fbnskalcjdkakshaAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! I'm frustrated. Also.......the lil clip post credits, can someone please explain - is there supposed to be a season 2?
Ok......I am the only one that's annoyed about the ending?? I just feel like the last episode was going in the right direction until the last, like, 5 mins and then it went to s**t.
I dropped this series after struggling with it for a long time (sorry JaFirst), but I still kinda wanna know what happens. I just reeeeally can't watch any more episodes. Any good soul care to give me the highlights pwease of what happened after ep. 9? I'd be grateful (especially if it means not watching anymore).
Well I made the mistake of believing this was a sequel as stated above, so I wasted time rewatching Mysterious…
Thank you for posting this! I noticed in the 'additional titles' for this drama that it was labelled as a 'season 2,' so I came here checking to see if I needed to watch the first season, or if I could get away with not watching it. Glad to hear they are tEcHnIcAlLy separate.
Just wanted to say 'thanks' for your review. I was kind of on the fence about watching this show, but your review came across very insightful. It definitely was the push that got me to watch this during a lull in my other series. I'm only 3 eps in, but can already tell that what you said about the tight writing, and other attributes of the show like pacing, editing, etc. hold up. After watching so many shows that aren't that, this is so refreshing. I'm going to enjoy seeing where this goes.
Ok, REALLY liking this show so far, but can I say I am getting ROASTED from second-hand embarassement due to Tai's awkwardness? I'm pretty sure that I'm making the episodes at least 20 mins longer to watch from all the pausing I'm doing to cringe/groan/hide/all the above. At this rate, this series is gonna take me FOREVER if it continues on like this, and I'm only on ep. 3!
Do you mind elaborating? I'm trying to decide whether to start watching or skip it...
I think I'll get hate for this lol, but I'll say this too... the nsfw scenes? Objectively, yes, I can say they are more 'spicy' than previous series. Personally, didn't feel a thing. But I think I'm in the minority lmao

I think that what I was looking forward to most from this series is that Ja and First's roles were being reversed, based on the characters we've seen from them in past series like Don't Say No and Remember Me. Myself, I think their roles in both those series were similar and this series was offering something new. While I think their acting is good (and by that I mean that I think they are delivering the character they were asked to), the writing and the development of the relationship is lacking to me. I have never been a fan of the overly-infatuated ML chasing after the other ML, and how Punn's character is written is so much like a lil puppy. I literally am looking at my notes that I wrote while watching this, but I don't know how else to put it without spoilers....
