It wasn't bad, but it's not exactly a masterpiece either. I thought that JHI and JSM were both adorable, but Love Next Door isn't one I would remember years from now. Or when someone asks for a recommendation, LND will probably make it to my list, but it won't be my top-of-mind go-to KDrama.
Finally, a 2024 KDrama I could actually finish. It's riddled with plot holes and clichés but the excellent storytelling, captivating on-screen chemistry, riveting plot and intriguing backstories give WTPR quite the entertainment value. Definitely one of the best in 2024!

Not understand the story? So you think you’re the only one who understands the story just because our opinion is different from yours? Get off your pedestal.

Oh yeah definitely. I think she's just lonely and nostalgic right now, but in the long run there is nothing ML can offer her (except maybe his slobbery attention). She deserves someone better, someone with goals in life. Someone who'd match her drive for success, not someone whose sole purpose in life is to smother her with attention. Being with ML is settling, so I hope she dusts herself up, and goes back to Seoul with a renewed purpose in life. Their parents, meddlesome as they may be, actually did Samdal a favor. It gave her a chance to spread her wings and be whoever she wants without ML weighing her down. He's a deadweight. The ML2 is really just a nuisance at this point. Rich good looking dude worships the ground his 1st love walks on.. even after 3 decades later. The guy needs counselling, really.

Yep, ML has relinquished his balls a long time ago. Writers might have intended for him to be a dedicated small town boy, but he just comes across as a needy, wimpy, sentimental nut who have absolutely nothing going on for him.

That's so savage... but I also agree with your assessment. 🤣 That kind of loyalty and devotion is something one would expect from a Labrador, not a boyfriend.
There is also the possibility that it has less to do with popularity, and more to do with your editing. Also,…
It's almost amusing when someone’s passive aggressive behaviour gets called out, and then they play the "you're hurting me card." (Especially when they claim to prefer 'bluntness.')
And since you seem to prefer bluntness, let me tell you what I think: you came in here talking about your edit(s), baiting MDL users that MD is not as big as you thought, in the hopes that MD fans here would click on the link and increase your viewership. I see you took inspiration from Noh Seok-min's calculation. Impressive.
I'm not even a fan of MD, but the low-key yet baldfaced promotion caught my attention. Well done.
Just promote your page, nothing wrong with that. The not-so-subtle dig on MD's popularity isn’t needed.
U said it so well. I just finished rewatching Ep10, if u havent watch it, dont read my next line, as i dont want…
Ngl romcom dialogues are meant to be cheesy, it's like a romcom cardinal rule. And imo, what elevates these dialogues from terrible, to watchable, to crazy fun, are two things: chemistry and storytelling. To my surpise and delight, the chemistry in MD is something I had not seen in a long time (granted I had not seen or finished a lot of romcoms). When the ML and FL are onscreen, it's impossible to look away... In terms of storytelling, there are a few scenes I could live without, but the ending scene in ep 7 (i.e. balcony scene) had me completely riveted. The tango scene was ridiculous. It was romantic. Ridiculously romantic. Romantically ridiculous. But if the villain really is the son of Madam Ju, that's a shame. I was expecting and hoping for a curveball. For someone you least expect. But we'll see. I get the sense that scenes of the doomsday variety are coming. Should be fun!
It's fun, light, and quite enjoyable! And somewhere in the middle of its cheesiness, I found myself hoping for a happily-ever-after for Guwon and DoHee. 🫠
Ohh...u r hating every on going drama ,i saw u on WTS page, now my demon...
I suggest you read my post again. WTS is a lost cause, but MD as I said above, simply put, is a romcom that lives up to its romcom label/genre. It’s pretty enjoyable.
I completely agree with the points you outlined here @yoohp.
Thank you, I appreciate the additional clarity and context.
I see where you’re coming from, but it does very little to change my mind. I can tell you’re very passionate about this drama and we can agree to disagree.

A ‘seductive and comprehensive mind?’ What does that even mean? Oh honey, opening a thesaurus and stringing nice-sounding words together do not drive whatever point you’re trying to make. Try smaller, simpler words and go easy on the (over)use of exclamation points and question marks. They’re not a substitute for ideas, or maturity (Pretty sure the only twelve-year old kid around here is you.)
It goes without saying that there is no need to villify people whose interpretation and appreciation of this KDrama is different from yours. It’s not a matter of comprehension, but preference.

And yes, I dabble in writing myself.
