I‘m on episode 7 and this might be the most annoying ML I‘ve seen so far. More in the spoiler reply.
He‘s honestly going all righteous anger because his wife dares to consult actual medical doctors about her tumor?? He keeps acting as if he was a medical genius when he literally only runs a back alley OBGYN and has no formal training or surgical experience whatsoever? There‘s a reason why you can‘t just call yourself a „doctor“ and be done with it…. And then to top it all off he keeps being so angry at her whenever she does something that might make people slightly uncomfortable, when HE forced her into marriage by poisoning her and gave her medicine that gave her diarrhea because he was annoyed at her???
His dad is right, this kid is way too proud and if this wasn‘t a comic-inside-a-show world, he would do a ton of harm.
I love the FL, and she honestly deserves way, way better. At least her husband‘s father is in the picture to curb some of his excesses of wanna be OBGYN hybris
(tbh I might be taking this a bit personally bc I have the real-world equivalent of her fantasy disease, but come the eff on, what an insufferable hypocrite….)
Is there a reason why nearly half of the cast is also in My Heroic Husband? Now even Li Yu and Yue Yang showed up within an episode of each other, this can‘t be a coincidence??
I really don‘t know why, but Alen Feng in a Da Ge-role is sooooo perfect… I didn‘t really like his characters much in Jiu Liu Overlord or Unique Lady, but wow, he‘s so good in this
On ep 6 and I’m so annoyed right now, why does she want a divorce when she knows the bed is the thing that will…
On the other hand: big ups to this drama for having the married main couple sleep with each other before they fall in love, this is a piece of realism you really don‘t get on this sort of show nowadays
On ep 6 and I’m so annoyed right now, why does she want a divorce when she knows the bed is the thing that will get her back, and why doesn’t she just read the inscription again 😭 Her being deliberately a bit dumb is ok, I thought it was a nice touch that Qu Tan‘er understood the possession mechanics so much faster than Xiao Tan, but jfc my girl you‘re being too dumb to live rn
I‘m on episode 24 now, and while I love the leads and the Ban family a lot, I am getting sooo sick of Shi Feixian‘s delusions that Rong Xia likes her when he never gave her a reason to think so…. This type of female character is honestly the worst, and it doesn‘t help that her head is gigantic and her face looks weird…
Tan Er becomes a really boring FMC that becomes a burdensome damsel in distress rather than being any help to…
I don't know why, but whenever the main actor cried (or tried not to cry) it was SO intense.... That last scene where Xigua leaves the city was heart wrenching...
This show has some of the most interesting villains I have seen, if you can call Liu Xigua and Chen Fan villains; though I also REALLY like Fang Tianlei and his wife and sister, and Minister He was unnerving in the best way. I also liked that the actually despicable villains (read: rapists) got punished severely, while the Su boys actually redeemed themselves by going through all that hardship, even though they were still big doofuses in the end.
I also feel like Su Tan'er was a bit of a case of 'We'll tell you she's strong but we won't ever show it'. If they had just focused a little more on how great a craftswoman she is, her later damselness might not have been that jarring. I think she's likely pretty good at business, it's just that Ning Yi is super OP and nobody would look good next to him.
Do you guys think Shuwan was also from another time? Why else did she do the modern business tactics? Does the novel have more infos on that?
This show was really great until the ML got sick during the filming, they had to rework the plots on a lot of…
Oh my god that makes so much sense! Thank you so much for this info, I was really confused why the romance plot just got dropped, though I did start to enjoy the sitcom feeling of the last few episodes after two or three of them
I was kind of disappointed when the plot kind of stopped going forward after the Niece-and-Nephew-Arc, but when you watch the last ten or so episodes like a weekly sitcom, it's still really fun actually
