One of the best Chinese novel adaptation out there. Most adaptations suffer from poor editing and missing out important parts but this one didn't. 10/10 based on my drama watching enjoyment!
It had a lot of potential, unfortunately the faltering writing and main actors busy schedule was a main contributor why this drama din't reach its highest potential. The world building was awesome though, but that can be credited to its original source, the novel. Yes, the novel have a gay couple on it but having an OT3 in the series was quite refreshing on its own. I really loved those 3 together! hehehe 8/10 based on my drama watching enjoyment!
I really couldn't stand the take on military missions, the first episode was awesome though, i just found other parts cringe worthy. I love action and thriller genre but here it was just too cheesy for me to take it seriously. I liked the characters but even their presence couldn't keep me watching this drama. I dropped it and then tried to pick it up again but i couldn't. I manage to watch more than half then skipped to the end. Other people loved it though, so please give it a chance. I gave it 6/10 based on my enjoyment!
A love triangle done right. It wasn't overly dramatic or went on to crazy makjang moments. Just adults trying to find out if they are right for each other, at one point i was asking why they coudn't just end up 3 together. LOL 8/10 base on my enjoyment!
Classic Melo, so heart wrenchingly good I still feel an ache when I remember this drama more than a decade later. So Ji Sup was catapulted to stardom due to his stellar portrayal of a dead man walking vent on vengeance but ends up finding meaning in life. Very low on rewatch value because it’s to painful...???? The OST was awesome, I came back here when I accidentally saw the original Japanese version of Snow Flower.
I’ve watch some previews and some scenes but I’ll wait until it’s done airing. I’m a coward and a wimp when it comes to tragic ending in melos. Autumn in my Heart, I’m sorry I love You and Stairways to Heaven, from my early drama watching years, can last me a lifetime of pain therefore I try to avoid tragic Melos.
I got my Second Lead Syndrome Trauma on this one. I’ve had the syndrome before but this one was truly excruciating and I ended up traumatized. Since then, I try hard to ship the main couples in Kdramas to avoid all the pain. Like all Reply series it’s heart tugging, with addictive qualities. 8.5/10 for my trauma which I’m still struggling with until today.
10/10 for my drama enjoyment. As a kpop fan, I really enjoyed all the allusions. I think most of us relate about the fervour of youth and how much at that point in our lives, all things seemed the most complicated and at any given mistake, our world can crumble to ashes. This drama reminds us of the pains yet beautiful moments of growing up.
The reply series really knows which chord to play in order to pull our heart strings. 9/10 because I think the plot would have been tighter if they stuck to 1 hour airing time.
I’ve been in a procedural/crime/thriller binge lately and this series grately satisfied my craving. It’s follows a formula like its western counterpart but it’s still thrilling nonetheless.
One of the few Korean drama that feature an LGBT characters. 8 years later this is still the only primetime drama that features a flesh out well written gay couple story line. It just tells how revolutionary this drama was and how extraordinarily influential the writer is, to be able to write about gay couple in a family weekend prime time drama. I’ve rewatched my favourite parts all through the years and still warms my heart. This goes to my favourite list! A must watch for its amazing portrayal of familial love and it’s surprisingly take on diversity which is rarely shown on Korean dramas.
I really enjoy procedural/thriller drama but I couldn’t finish this one. The firs few episode were quite good but the writing suffers all through out. What are the odds that all characters and their family members are involved in a crime in such a short period of time? Even if their occupation involved criminals realistically it shouldn’t be the often. And the exploration of the mind of criminals here is so shallow it’s a shame. Anyways if you’re looking for a good procedural drama better look elsewhere because this one fails.
One of the best drama I’ve watched recently. I was here initially for Jin Dong but ended up appreciating the entire cast. There is no good or evil caricature characters here. Just regular human beings, flawed and imperfect. The journey of Zijun was a satisfying watch, from a spoilt almost disdainful housewife to a strong independent divorce woman. Spoiler..... I know some people didn’t like the ending but for me it’s a good conclusion and a positive one. We don’t see them reconcile on TV but they’re reunion is inevitable. It’s indicated and their time apart, like in real life, will help them built a stronger foundation for their future.
I think people needs to be warned that this is no romantic fluff drama. The protagonist are dark characters and their life is as bleak as a rainstorm. Nothing about this drama is pretty except for some little moments. But it’s so good, 4 years later I still remember the characters from time to time. Although I can’t rewatched it because it was too painful it’s worth the watch specially for character study.
I've watched the first 2 episodes, and I am bored. I am having a hard time gauging whether this drama is like…
Maybe you're not inclined into slice-of-life dramas? Dramas are form of escapism so slice of life dramas can be tedious to watch for some because it resemble too much of our real lives which some people find boring. Our life experiences as well can influence our drama enjoyment. I would have found Misaeng boring when I was still studying but being in the work force made this drama so relatable to me and made a huge impact in my life. Anyway just ask yourself if it's worth your precious time, if not right now, you can always go back to it later.
i can't continue watching this because of the female lead. I don't get what the writers are trying to do with her character, just really annoying. I feel sorry for the actress. I'll wait for it to finish airing then decide if its worth it.
