Almost done with EP 28 and gosh, IT'S THE FIRST HISTORICAL CDRAMA I'VE WATCHED WITHOUT THAT RAMPANT "MISUNDERSTANDING" CLICHE THAT ALL SERIES ON THIS GENRE HAS. THEY'RE BOTH INTELLIGENT AND UNDERSTANDS EACH OTHER'S THOUGHT PATTERN PRETTY WELL, AND I LOVE THEM FOR IT.
Really, them having no misunderstanding gives me anxiety. What will happen to this beautiful couple if the writer randomly throws that cliche sh**t and makes the two separate? phew.
Can there be more couples like them who knows what they want and works towards that same goal. Haaayaaah.
what made me stay, every single time, are those ML/FL one-liners left unsaid and are shown on the last part before the credits roll. huhu
there are a lot of cringy moments on the first few episodes but it mellows down and now all that's left are heart-warming tears from the two as they share their most vulnerable moments with each other.
It isn't perfect but I'm hooked and always have the energy to watch one more episode, now I'm only left with two. This will be HE. FINGER'S CROSSED!
I'm one of those slave workers who cannot binge-watch the rest of the episodes yet because of project deadlines. I'm dying to watch it, my YT reco is full of WeTV clips about ALP!
So did our beloved main lead got their happy ending?! Please spoil me or I'll probably be fired tomorrow if I succumb to the temptation to pull all nighter just to watch this. >.<
I can't properly watch another Xianxia drama after Eternal love. I would always unintentionally compare and go back to watch some clips that then would tempt me to abandon the current drama I should be finishing to binge-watch EL all over again.
ETERNAL LOVE is like a bad habit I couldn't get over with and it's been 4 years ..
I have to say, so far I am really enjoying this drama and trying to patiently wait for new subbed episodes. The…
ikr, I love Xu Kai but there are times when my mind wound unintentionally wander and picture Yehua crying for Susu, I couldn't help but compare. I miss Mark Chao.
Hi! Which Eternal Love were you talking about? Is it the one with Yang Mi and Mark Chao?
Have you read the novel? I did, and of course there are a lot of missing scenes on the drama that would probably make you feel that Yehua loved Bai Qian better. That's totally understandable.
But I never felt that Qian Qian's sacrifices are less.
(Oh, my comment is biased since this is the very drama that made me interested with Xianxia and Chinese folklore in general.)
I'm so invested in our first arc's characters that I can't find the will to watch the 2nd arc. No, I'm not saying it's bad! It's too good that I advise you not to get too attached if you don't want to see yourself bawling.
