For me personally they had one of the best, if not the best, chemistry I have ever seen in c-dramas. Acting also great. I would like to know which xianxia, wuxia or historical fantasy c-drama couples you consider as having more chemistry.

To say that a drama is 7.8 or 8 at it's peak and then give it 1s across the board is absurd and shows that you rated it in an open effort to lower the rating.

First of all, I would be interested to know which Chinese drama actors do you consider so great in comparison to Xiao Xhan?

Secondly, even if some Xiao Zhan fans are bying data (which you certainly have no proof of) and even if some are a bit crazy, you should consider that no one can gain such devoted fans with just a pretty face. There are many pretty actors, but there is a reason why not all of them have as many devoted fans as Xiao Zhan.

Xiao Zhan's look in this drama is more real and somewhat austere, and he doesn't have too much makeup on. In short, it's not a glamorous xianxia drama look with lots of expressive makeup and "airbrushing". Also, Xiao Zhan is not young pretty boy in his 20s anymore. I think he still looks handsome in classical and mature way, he just doesn't have those feminine pretty boy features.

Imagine, not all people require for a drama to have constant action, fight scenes etc. to find it entertaining. If your brain is not built to comprehend mind games and dialogues, it's your problem.

Also, giving the actors just 5 shows that you are most likely a Xiao Zhan hater and watched some of it only to somehow justify giving it a low rating. Naturally, if you really, really want to give something a low rating, you can always find some faults - real or imagined - to do that.

If, in your opinion, it's a 10 up until episode 27, and 0 from there onwards, then the story should be 5, not 3. And you didn't explain what faults you found with the cast/acting to give it just 7. You obviously gave it such low marks just to look oh so cool and opinionated. And your 3.d point is just absurd. If parents or adopted parents are guilty of something, they should be blamed, even if they can be forgiven eventually.

Who said anything about fangirling? I just think Wang Xing Yue is very good looking, that's all. To me, it's not enough for "fangirling". I haven't even seen him in a full drama/movie so far, just in fragments and photos. Also, I am actually too old for fangirling (I am almost 44). But I was never the standard "fangirl" even when I was younger.

So far I like Xiao Zhan among Chinese male actors most of all. Not original, I know. But I am not fangirling over him either.

I have seen Wang Xing Yue in modern clothing, and that's where the supermodel comparison comes from, especially after having seen him dressed in suits (not in t-shirts and jeans). He is one of the youngest among famous Chinese male actors, of course he can still look boyish. But models are also usually really young.

I saw Liu Xue Yi in that tub scene. Sort of hot, yes, but better looking than Wang Xing Yue - no.

Also, I think you are mixing up pure looks, like facial features, and attractiveness. To me those are different things. There are men who I consider extremely good looking, even beautiful, but who I am not attracted to, and then there are those who are not quite as beautiful, but who I find really attractive/charismatic. For instance, Song Wei Long is one of those I think of as very good looking, but I am not attracted to him at all.

Excuse me for butting in for such a small matter, but better looking than Wang Xingyue? Is it even possible? Because he just looks like a chinese male supermodel. Pretty standard beauty, but just because he has perfect features. I'd agree that there are (chinese) actors who are just as good looking in a different way. But Liu Xueyi is definitely not one of them - not to me.

Of course, tastes and opinions about looks are different.

Even though I responded to you, I didn't mean you specifically, but people who think this picture is bad in general. I apologise if you don't think that way. But, in that case the question is - in what way better? The only thing that I can see that may not be so likable about this photo is the brownish coloring.

Also, even though there are better photos of Xiao Zhan than this one, it is true in the case of many actors on here, even the most popular ones. The photos are changed from time to time, some of them are really good, others are just okay, and some are not good. I personally think that the current photo of the current number 1 - Chen Zhe Yuan - is worse than this photo of Xiao Zhan. He looks okay in it, but it's too pale and unclear. So, this is no reason to decide that the person who changed the photo did it with the purpose of damaging Xiao Zhan's rating on this site like someone else wrote in response to you. People don't send flowers because of the photo on the site anyway. They send them because they liked the actor in dramas/movies, because they like the personality he is showing to the public, yes, also because of his/her looks, but in that case the absolute majority of those people have already seen the actor in many other photos and videos, so this one photo can't really influence them.

I personally don't understand why people have such a problem with this photo. Xiao Zhan is not smiling in it, he looks serious, but still beautiful. I think that him not smiling in this photo is such a shallow reason to dislike it so much. Xiao Zhan is not just a cute and pretty "bunny" idol, he is a serious actor, so how can there be a problem with him looking serious and mature (not old) in a photo? It's like those (now former) "fans" who said about The Condor Heroes: "He doesn't look beautiful/handsome in this movie, I can't be a fan
anymore." just because he looks real and natural in it and doesn't have a glamorous idol look with fancy clothes and make-up.

As people have already written, Xiao Zhan filmed in two movies and one drama from the end of 2023 until the beginning of this year. Seems that filming in Legends of the Condor Heroes: The Gallants and De Xian Jin Zhi took quite a lot of time. Those are big movies, and filming in such movies takes much longer than just a few days. It so happened that no dramas or movies with Xiao Zhan came out last year, but he never really stopped filming. Also, his first full length album came out just a few months ago - I suppose working on it also took a lot of time. Besides that, he is constantly taking part in campaigns and filming in new adverts for all the brands that he has contracts with.

Of course he does singing. His first full length solo album came out just a few months ago.

Because Chen Zhe Yuan passed both him and Zhang Zhehan and is number 1 now. Zhao Lusi was number 2 with Xiao Zhan in number 3 not so long ago anyway, so it's not so surprising that they exchanged places again, especially as they have been very close to each other (in terms of votes/flowers) since I first found this top a year or so ago.

In truth, I don't know that well, but some people who claimed to be Xiao Zhan fans spoke not too well about it.

It's not "only" a movie, though. Being cast in the main role of a big budget "big screen" movie with a famous director is a big step-up for an actor who has been mainly in tv dramas so far. This is only the second movie for Xiao Zhan, and the first one was neither really big budget, nor very successful. If this movie is going to do well, it'll be a big turn in Xiao Zhan's career as an actor, finally completely elevating him from an idol to a "serious" actor and movie star.

A series called 'Zang Hai Zuan'/'The Legend of the Hidden Sea' with Xiao Zhan in the main role should come out in the second half of this year, but, after that, there is a movie called 'De Xian Jin Zhi' with another famous director again.

This is not about Xiao Zhan vs. Chen Zhe Yuan (as I already mentioned, Xiao Zhan didn't have any drama or movie come out this year, so it wouldn't be an objective comparison anyway). Chen Zhe Yuan has received much more flowers than any other Chinese or Korean etc. actor or actress in the recent months, and he definitely can't be that much more popular than absolutely all the other Asian actors.

I am not jealous, just wondering. You can't tell me that Xiao Zhan fans need to be jealous of any other Chinese actor. I think that even you know that Xiao Zhan is not an unknown actor, although you very likely don't like him and don't watch his dramas (he is my favorite Chinese actor, but I have other favorites too, and perhaps Chen Zhe Yuan could become one of them if I had time to watch his dramas).

Also, I do admit that my guess (as it is merely a guess) is a bit harsh, but Chen Zhe Yuan having a that much larger number of fans dedicated enough to send flowers o him here than anyone else is not reasonable or logical enough either. If you had said that his most recent dramas are just extremely popular and, by extension, have brought really wide popularity to him (which was my first guess), I would have believed you.

I am not a victim, but you did falsely accuse me of creating an account specifically for this and of polluting this page with my comments when I have done neither, so, of course, I responded to explain that.

But I am going to stop now, as I can see that I won't get any reasonable explanation here anyway.

Firstly, I created this account many months ago to be able to send flowers to my favorite Chinese actor (but, alas, I don't have as much money as some). Secondly, I haven't been and am not "polluting" this page. This was the first and only comment I have written on this topic. The rest are just responses to you. If you could have explained it logically, perhaps I wouldn't feel the need to continue responding to you.
