I used to dislike her so much but now I don't hate her, but I am not really a fan either. Here's just my personal perspective.
Compared to many other actresses, I feel her acting is quite limited. I don't think she conveys emotions as effectively as some of other actress. There are actresses who can make me genuinely emotional when they cry on screen, but when she has similar scenes, I often don't feel invested and sometimes even feel like skipping them.
After Fireworks of My Heart, I started avoiding her dramas. The only reason I watched How Dare You was because I like Cheng Lei, and I was also really looking forward to Overdo. I am also someone who usually never skips a Zhang Linghe drama or at least that's what I thought until Overdo.
One thing I have always appreciated about Zhang Linghe is that he tends to have great chemistry with almost all of his co-stars, whether it's Tian Xiwei, ZJM, or the actress from The Best Thing. I honestly can't remember another drama where I felt his chemistry was lacking. However, in Overdo, I just didn't feel that spark between the leads.
I do agree that Overdo itself has many issues. The story feels unfocused, as though it keeps changing direction without a clear plan or well-structured script. That said, I also don't think her stood out in any particular way.
I used to think she was one of the prettiest actresses, and that was definitely one of her strengths in my eyes. But even that didn't stand out to me in Overdo. Of course, this is all just my personal opinion, and I understand that others may feel completely differently.

Ofcourse it’s a nice drama … I think the rating is a bit low just because of different opinions and different interpretations of the ending… it’s mostly about demon race and human race interactions and how they they were affected and how they were living etc
