Love the interaction between Gangcheol and Bibi! Too bad it's so short...Hopefully we'll see them again. I wasn't familiar with Bibi's actor but his acting was so natural! I check his filmography, turns out he was in drama Connection, as younger self of Jisung's character 👍
Exactly what i thought about the second point. Like he should have been overpowered by only the eight feet spirit…
Yeah, the blind shaman probably what made the drowned ghost more powerful... I just wish the drama didn't make Gangcheol looked so weak...hopefully he'll be kicking ass next week
Okay, two things 1. Why did Gangcheol seems to not know how to get out from Yoongap's body that Bibi needs to explain it to him? I thought he already knew bc he did tried to kill "himself" couple of times when he first realized he couldn't get out after possessing Yoongap... was he just pretending to not know or it's just flaw in the writing?
2. Gangcheol's power scale was inconsistent. Sometimes he seems strong (sending people away with whirlwind, summoning lightning bolts) and then not so much. Especially at the end of episode 6, when they're fighting the drowned ghost. He was overpowered by the ghost and got bitten twice. I mean, they were in the water. Wasn't water his element? Why he seems so weak when he usually healed himself in water? Maybe we could attribute his weakness bc he's in human body, but we were shown that he's still got his strength and magical powers in other scenes...
Not as bad as I thought it would be, but it could be so much better...I don't really get what the writer and the…
OMG Gieun is so stupid!! NEVER ARRANGED MEETINGS WITH A STRANGER IN A SECLUDED PLACE!! How is she a cop??? And she not only did it once but twice! First in the middle of nowhere and then at the demolition place? Why didn't she leave when the workers told her to? I have zero sympathy for her. Yunoh should've just killed her in their first meeting. I think the story would be more interesting if Yunoh did kill Gieun and then Sum and Mokwon work together to solve the murder. Sum using technology with Somebody and Mokwon with her shaman power...
Not as bad as I thought it would be, but it could be so much better... I don't really get what the writer and the director try to convey here. The dialogs are sometimes choppy, like what the hell are they talking about haha Idk but I think Yunoh and Sum characters are inconsistent. Like half way through the ending they became different people? Idk... The shamanism element came out of nowhere...not sure the genre includes supernatural. All I can praise is the acting. All the leads have solid acting. Especially Kim Youngkwang, Yunoh is sooo creepy. And Kim Yongji is gorgeous. I already know there would be many sex and nudity scenes. Although they're unnecessary detailed which didn't really add anything to the story imo, I don't really mind them.
Now I wish they didn't cast Kim Youngkwang as the og Gangcheol... I enjoy the drama and Yook Sungjae is doing a good job but I can't help to think that KYK would be better... they're both good looking but KYK has more charisma and presence imo. Well, maybe as the episodes goes by, I'll get over him...
I've watched this drama a while ago, but kinda forget the story. Now, I'm rewatching after seeing Kim Youngkwang's cameo in The Haunted Palace and reminded how hot he is... The sugary and cutesy type of romcom, best chemistry between KYK and Jin Kijoo made me binged the whole 16 episodes in just couple of days, and no skipping scenes either! And of course the iconic Veronica Park kept me entertained. The ending is what I called realistic but hopeful. They didn't get the fairy tale happy ending but they are together and ready to face the future come what may. I wish KYK took more romcom roles. Tho he's great in Call It Love, but it's too gloomy...and his other roles are villains (Somebody and Evilive). I think he's got a knack for comedy, and romance genre could really use that handsome face of his...
Okay but I can't stop thinking... Fujinuma finally remembering his ability to time travel when he was at the street where, in the first timeline, he saved a kid from being hit by a truck (the driver died of heart attack while driving so the truck went out of control). But, in this timeline, the drama didn't show he did anything about it, just some flashback and the scene cut to when he met Airi... is that mean the kid still die by getting hit by the truck?? Poor kid 😭
Nah, it doesn't make me uncomfortable. I mean the setting is fantasy and we're dealing with a mythical creature that doesn't follow human rules or morality. And, more importantly, the reason he followed her around was not bc he saw her as a romantic interest. Gangcheol needed a pure soul to help him ascending to heaven, and it could be anyone: young, old, man, woman... it doesn't matter to him. It just happened to be Yeori. And it's only after he possessed Yoongap's body and experience human senses that he started to feel things differently and developed a very humane feelings for her...
I think it's gonna be he fell first he fell harder... Gangcheol was already attracted to her soul and when he possessed Yoongap's body and experience the human senses, he will start to see her as a man to a woman. But it'll be bittersweet for him, bc Yeori loves the real Yoongap dan hates him... Let's see how everything unfold and I hope for a happy ending...
People in the comments said Seok and Deokhee actions don't make sense... THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT! THEY'RE BOTH PSYCHOPATHS! THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE NORMAL! Deokhee is more "functional" than Seok bc he's more careful hiding his psychopathic tendencies, while Seok is more reckless. But, still, they live by their own codes that make sense to THEM. And, as they both said, they're very similar, very alike and they're very possessive of each other. So, Deokhee's reason to kill Kim is reasonable to HIM. Just like everything Seok did for Deokhee is reasonable to HER. For me, their characters and the portrayals by the actors are what makes this drama very compelling. It's not simply good versus bad. It's grey area all around.
