I made some progress looking at the MDL cast list, and then made peace with remaining somewhat confused.

Same problem recognising the supporting actors. I’m glad it’s not just me 😀.

MDL shows all the platforms that a drama is showing throughout the world and we all see the same list, regardless of our location. So I have to check if it’s licensed for my area for each app. It’s only Viki for me ( in Australia)

This is not a happy, hopeful drama. It’s excellent but dark and gets darker as you get deeper into the story. HTH

JohanNorth's story starts on episode 6 of S1. Personally, I'd use the FF button liberally to get through the first five episodes (because you get introduced to all the characters). I absolutely love the series but found HillTer a very bland couple.

I find the character unlikeable, but I also feel sorry for him. To me, that means the actor is doing an excellent job.
