We learn more about her in episode 3 and 4 that makes her attitude more understandable and I suspect the next episodes will reveal more. I think all the first years have a lot of maturing to do too

too many to name. I used to watch quite a lot of dramas for free on iQIYI (although I eventually became a VIP). I watched the whole of One and Only for free a few years back. You have to watch them soon after they release as they do get out behind a paywall later. I still watch entire dramas for free on Youku and WeTV/ Tencent. The latter has quite a few BLs. I just have to be patient and wait a week longer than the VIPs. My advice is to keep an eye on iQIYI at least once a week.

I'd double check. I know the app says that but often they will still release for non VIPs, just a week later and with less of a fanfare (speaking from personal experience of avoiding too many subscriptions 😊)

Have you checked if ep 1 is available for free on iQIYI in your country? Because it seems to be free in my region, and will probably just release more slowly for non VIPs.

Netflix seems to only release the schedule as it airs for C dramas. Often only a couple of days before a new episode releases. It's very frustrating. But it will be slower than Youku, the original platform.
