The male actor is 46 years old. The female actress is 25. It is 20+ yo gap, she's young enough to be his daughter.…
Oh, the actress is of my same age! Damn and he is like 5 years younger than my mom ...well, that's disgusting! Like there are plenty of hot actors of closer age out there so why?! Also are they supposed to have the same ages in the plot? If that's so then I guess I might skip this drama. I personally would never bother dating someone who is more than 4 years older than me, but I could understand others dating someone up to 10 years older (As long as both are adults), but this is just too much lol

Title Strobe Edge
Oh, an average and overly long movie, with an average, repetitive, mostly boring plot and ending. Not gonna lie at some point I almost fell sleep. The lighting made my eyes hurt, it was a bit too bright and hazy. Leads acting was passable at best, and they barley had chemistry. Seriously though, why 98% of FLs in Japanese romance shows/animes got short hair?? The same damn hairstyle. They all look/dress the same, and have basically the same personality too. Same with MLs who are mostly cold and barley talk. Only character I was a bit interested in was second ML. Anyway I personally wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone.

Title The Liar and His Lover Spoiler
Well, I didn't know what to expect when watching this movie, but since both Satoh Takeru and Kubota Masataka which are among my top 10 Japanese actors are in it (And both looked hot as fuck with those hairstyles), I couldn't help but watch it instantly. Unsurprisingly the movie was actually good, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Although I don't understand why the girl had to be a high schooler...when is that fetish gonna end in Japan seriously!

If ML was a fellow teen then I wouldn't nag, but it's almost always a minor girl and adult dude, it could be a college girl and an older dude instead. There is also that CEO or whatever he is supposed to be guy (Whom mari cheated on Aki with), who is also a total creep. He discovered Mari back when she was a student, then he sleeps with her later. What is this?! I personally would never view someone I knew since they were a minor that way even after they become an adult Lmao

The girl had the typical looks/personality we see in Japanese romance plots. She has the usual short hair that is preferably brown or light colored (Her hairstyle is ugly, but somehow the actress made it work on her so it looked decent, but on most people it will look hideous), cute and childish facial features (Which isn't a problem at all to clarify, I'm not bashing her looks, she is adorable and I know that's also the Japanese beauty standard, besides she is playing the role of a teen as well so it fits), high pitched voice, is "innocent", loud, dense, dull, has bland fashion style, and is utterly clumsy. Also she acts and talks in a kinda anime like way. But for some reason all the guys will get obsessed with her all of a sudden and fight over her cause she is "precious and special" and has the magical ability to heal mental issues of ML/make him change.

The whole "I will protect you from everything" out of the blue made me cringe. Like girl you just met him and you act as if he is your soulmate whom you dated for at least 5 years. Her singing voice was beautiful though, I enjoyed hearing her sing, not sure if that was the actress herself singing or not. They also had to add the misunderstanding thing between FL, ML, and Mari (Of course she had to be a crazy and selfish ex) so that FL will get depressed, avoid ML, then Shinya will get closer to her to piss of ML. Plus the scandal as another hurdle. They sure love doing that.

Anyway apart from the creepiness related to the age difference between the main leads, them falling for each other a bit too quick for my liking, and other clichés, they had good chemistry (Not great but good enough), and the romance between them was overall sweet I guess. Honestly I was mostly interested in the music aspects and the whole issues between Aki with his musical struggles and doubts, that shit producer, and the Crude Play band members than the romance, but they kinda forgot all about that in the end and decided to focus on the romance.

The songs they played in the movie were all great, will make sure to download them all later if I find them. The movie had a melancholy vibe to it that I liked. The stage name Mush was cute.

I loved to read your opinion, more people should be honest about what they think and vote according to it. 💕I…
Thanks a lot! Glad to know my opinion was helpful :)
Honestly same here, that's why I kinda like spoilers, they prepare me for what is gonna happen in the drama so that I will know if it's worth it or not. I also don't really understand why many people like these characters tropes/type of plots, I mean they are free to do so of course, but I just don't get it personally. Seeing many people overhype these dramas, then I watch them and I struggle to see the grand things that others be talking about.

Okay, watched two episodes only so far and well the FL is adorable and has some nice dresses. She is being a bit too desperate though at times (While saying she doesn't has ulterior motives to him, clearly showing him she is lying), but seeing it from another point of view, I guess it's nice to have the woman being the bold one who goes after the guy for a change. She is supposed to be sickly, yet she runs and jumps around normally, why is her mother overreacting then?!

Also I cringed a lot in both episodes due to the forced fanservice (The ML I mean), we know he is hot, it's painfully obvious we aren't blind, no need to have so many scenes and close shots of his neck when he drinks water and pours it over his head, muscles, or him doing DIY wood stuff. It felt like I was watching a western romance movie or music video from the 90's honestly, which isn't a bad thing I dig retro concept and vibes, and I dig these older decades blah blah yet I still couldn't help but either laugh or feel awkward when they shove his hotness down my throat (I bet the actor was enjoying himself though lmao). I'm not against fanservice in general or anything, we all dig some fanservice and sexy scenes here and there, but not every three minutes and in such an awfully straightforward way.

The filming sets, cinematography, and overall vibe are beautiful though (Even that cat is gorgeous), so I will keep watching till the end and the leads look nice together which is another bonus, hope things don't keep getting more and more cringe and that the plot doesn't get utterly stupid or dramatic in illogical way (Which will probably happen judging by the title of the drama and the tags ugh) later.

According to some comments and the tags there is supposed to be age gap, how many years older is he in the plot? He doesn't seem that old to me, I thought he is supposed to be like 30 something while she is in her early 20s. I personally highly dislike huge age gaps, but as long as he isn't more than like 10 years older or so than her I guess I can handle it, especially since he doesn't look old.

Yeah I also instantly remembered Lee Soo Hyuk from Tomorrow when watching Park Sang Nam in Heavenly Idol. About Kim Seon Ho, is it the lips? He doesn't look very similar to him, but indeed there is a little bit of resemblance.

How is it anti feminist? Honest question, I dont see it. 🥺
Simple: They did seem to try their best to create a strong and confident FL who is able to fight...etc right?

Yet they make her constantly talk about how all men are untrustworthy, playboys, cheaters, misogynic...blah blah that how many people assume what is feminism is about, women wanting all men on planet earth to suffer and die, which is not.

They also liked to make her scream all the time, behave in a very crazy and even disturbing ways at times, beat up people left and right, harass the ML over a misunderstanding instead of handling the situation in a more mature way...etc which again make it clear they don't really understand how a strong woman should actually be like sadly.

The reason you don't see it easily is cause they did also make many of the guys sexist and bad so it feels as if they are being fair by making both sides trash, but the more you think about it, still the ML is a better and more likeable character than the FL in this scenario (But he himself is ass and misogynic. Though at least he doesn't wander around beating the shit out of every woman he sees or stalks them like FL does with men). FL is someone I personally would rather not interact with in real life at all.

Title Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Spoiler
It's been long since I watched an adult rom com Kdrama that is this wholesome, chill, realistic, straightforward, and funny. The FL was awfully likeable and sweet (Yeah she does start as kinda stuck up and whiny, but changes greatly pretty quick. Besides I related to her about being impatient and caring a lot about honesty in relationships), I loved all of her outfits too, especially that pink one, the white dress, and green & red dress in eps 12 and 13, they fit her perfectly. Everyone's style overall was nice.

Both the main and second male leads were a 10/10 boyfriend materials, I would be okay if FL chose to be with 2nd male lead too which is rare (Only other Kdrama were I also loved both the male leads along with the FL was True Beauty), since most of time only one of the male leads will be super likeable while the other will be a total jerk, or the FL will be annoying as heck and unworthy of both of the male leads' attention.

The main leads here had very strong and natural chemistry so it felt like watching an actual couple goofing around and being grossly lovey dovey, I did feel jealous not gonna lie. Their way of behaving mostly after they became a couple luckily wasn't painfully cringe for their ages, just moderate level, FL did get quite childish at times, but it wasn't irksome, just amusing. I think I will add them to my top 10 straight couples list. I just dig healthy adult couples <3 the marriage proposal scene killed me, love it when for a change the girl propose first, but his reaction was hilarious.

They all handled their feelings in a very healthy and mature way, confessed straightforwardly and simply. The upbeat friendship between male leads was adorable to see (I highly admired how Director Ji decided to stay friends with ML and treated him normally even after knowing him and FL are into each other instead of turning into a bitter prick), also I liked how that FL decided to reject him instantly after ML told her he liked her back, instead of letting him have false hopes for days and gave the luck charm back. At least 2nd ML still had another woman who cared for him.

The town people were also pretty funny and likeable (Maybe except that Chinese restaurant lady whom I wished would go completely mute at some point lol, but apart from her everyone else were cool). The FL had a very cute and strong friendship with her bestie which was also great to see since in many dramas female relationships gets ruined and they stab each other in the back all the time by them fighting over guys and crap of the sort. I even enjoyed the romance between the awkward police dude and FL's friend. The OSTs were pretty good.

The FL's parents were sweet as well (Glad her father approved of ML and regretted the crap he said about him, he was a decent father and her step mother was decent as well, even though lots of times they like to make step parents evil as hell). The town looks beautiful, wouldn't mind living there myself honestly, and the overall cast were great, the main leads are really good looking (Especially ML, not gonna lie I have a crush on this actor now since I'm really weak to hot guys with gorgeous smiles and sexy manly voices).

Of course there were some typical clichés like:

1- The main leads meeting each other before as kids, teens, and even back when ML wanted to commit suicide she saw him (The whole fate bullshit).

2- Them having tragic past stories is also a huge cliché. Like why are Asians obsessed with making everyone orphans??! Even in anime 80% of MCs have both/one of their parents dead or have messed up/abusive/neglectful parents and cursed family tree. ML here had everyone he cared about die, his parents, his grandfather, Ms. Gam Ri, the man whom he viewed as an older brother (Who happened to be the director's cousin husband to add salt to the wound), there was also the whole thing about that dude's paralyzed father, I was expecting the FL to die as well to complete the cycle lmao that was just overly dramatic and depressing!

Loved how everyone freaking said all that shit was Du Sik's fault, like that dude's father made the choice to risk his money without talking to him first and paid the price for it, Du Sik tried his best to help them financially too. The director's brother in law made the choice to drive the car that day, and yet ML had to handle all the burden for years and even got blamed for everything...yeah they were heartbroken so they lashed out on him and basically made up with him later, but it's still unfair. That whole part just pissed me off.

3- The town people being a bit retarded and weird at first (In this type of shows the town people always start as backwarded and judgmental assholes for some reason then turn into very likeable people afterwards).

4- Also I didn't give two fucks about the love triangle between the Zone chief, Village chief, and that teacher.

5- The ML getting hurt while protecting the FL from some criminal maniac or perverted bastard, male leads always have to play the hero role and save the damsel in distress.

6- That childbirth scene...love how that woman easily gave birth without filling the whole bed, her own clothes, and the FL clothes with blood and sometimes even poop...etc they make childbirth seem like you just pull the baby out of the damn vagina cleanly and that's it, in reality the dentist's bedroom would look like a homicide scene, with blood and horrifying sights everywhere, especially since she gave birth in a house and in a rushed manner instead of a hospital so it will be more messy.

7- The main leads hiding their relationship for a while, I mean I get that yes the town people would tease them to death, but still like ML said they will end up knowing anyways so what's the point of them acting as if they are having an affair and then FL ends up hitting/slapping the ML whenever someone sees them being romantic by accident, that was a bit too cringe and rude for my liking and I felt sorry for him.
Finding out that everyone already knew yet they all decided to punish them by separating them for some time till they admit it themselves was golden though. But all said clichés weren't much of a big deal in the end, and I forgot about them later due to how good the drama was.

8- The ads were so in your face lol, I get they are important and all, but they always get me a bit out of the mood.

Another thing, Bo Ra...why is that kid's hair dyed?! I mean I do dig hair dye and all, and would love to try many colors myself, but a child that awfully young having her hair dyed was just odd, first time seeing a child like that in an Asian drama for me especially since that in Asia they seem to mostly hate dyed/bright unnaturally colored hair, even adults would get judged sometimes for it (Unless they are celebrities) and they ban it in many schools there. I think it makes sense to at least wait till someone is a teenager then try such things, hair dye is toxic and can lead to the ruin of someone's hair if used too much, so kids need to stay away from chemicals as long as possible be it dye or beauty cosmetics/creams to give their bodies a chance to grow properly. No need to rush lol

The revelation about that teacher being a lesbian was surprising, never guessed the reason she never bothered with relationships was due to her being gay, that was a bit depressing since her family didn't approve of it and treated her like a maniac, even forcing her to leave the town to stay away from the girl she liked. Then she gets confessed to by the guy who got married to her first love, that all was just choatic as heck! I didn't care about the love triangle, but still felt sad about the teacher being that miserable, at least the zone chief didn't discriminate against her.

Anyways this drama was a 10/10 for me, I binged it in like four days, it's highly rewatchable (Although I rarely rewatch stuff), and a great way to cheer up my mood and relax (As long as you forget about the awfully sad two last episodes, the ending is happy for everyone though).

Feelings, like seeds, need time to grow in somebody's heart and here for the ML romance is prohibited, so how…
I agree! I hate when the characters fall in love too quickly and then be willing to die for each other as if they were in love for 2000 years when they only interacted for like a month or less lmao making the romance as chill and realistic as possible is nice.
Also since he was kind of a priest in his original world, obviously he wouldn't be that experienced when it comes to love affairs like a freaking playboy.

FL is likeable which is nice, she is a fan but she isn't crazy like a ssassang or whatever they are called. About the pouting part, many Asian actresses do that shit which irks me a lot not gonna lie, I don't even find it cute when kids do it, let alone adults.

I found it odd as well that in his original world nothing serious seemed to happen after him going to earth, and that on earth the evil one is just messing with him like a toy instead of just killing his ass instantly. But I am mostly focused on the whole idol thing, and how they actually show how fake and tedious some idols personalities are in real life and how shitty the idol world overall can be behind the scenes.
