Yeah, that makes sense in a way. Thanks for helping me understand the plot more, I really wish they wrote it in a better way because I was really interested during first episodes but then it went downhall, I hate when dramas do that πŸ˜‚

No, I actually understood everything you said and I appreciate your reply.
Only thing that bothers me is the fact that no one including the government can know her identity at all is what makes it seem as if she is supposed to be a genuis of some sort.

Like if she is just an averge born poor woman how could she do all that. Even with her good understandimg of people. Idk overall the plot felt shakey as hell to me.

I do get your point of view and I agree in a way, but I still think the plot could have been better written. It started strong then ended up weak.

Again thank you for explaining, it actually helped 😊

I know many might disagree with me but this drama was boring as hell. It's literally a basic cringe Y/N fanfic written by a delulu teen turned into a drama and that's it. The plot and chemistry between the leads are all meh...

Even the FL's behavior feeled like a preteen's, not the vibe of an adult successful lawyer. The writer tried hard to make her innocent and likeable, but the way she viewed the ML felt childlike. That wouldn't be an issue if the lead characters were high schoolers instead of two adults in their late 20s to 30s. The episodes were also utterly slow.
Both the romance and law/crime aspects were barley dived into which lead the plot overall to become shallow as hell.

Also they criticize the toxic obsessive fan culture yet the FL is a hardcore fan of the ML who magically ends up being his lover in the end...yes, I know she isn't a toxic fan, but it still defies the point the drama is supposed to convey. Because it instead feeds more into the delusions of fans who hope to meet and marry their favorite idols somehow. I'm a kpop fan myself, but come on πŸ˜‚

Only good thing about the drama is that they showed some of the toxic shit idols go through, if it wasn't for this, and watchers who like fanfics, I'm sure the drama would have a much lower rating.

That was boring. Usually I like mix of romance and triller but I fell I didn't get any of this here
Glad someone else agrees with me, I was dying of boredom the whole time. Felt like your typical Y/N fanfic crap.

Title The Art of Sarah Spoiler
Honestly first episode was great, I have been struggling lately to get interested in watching dramas as well as anime without dying of boredom, but this drama managed to make me sit and watch it with full focus at start, I liked that it wasn't focused on the typical overused romance crap and was revolved around a woman instead of a man who had to deal with poverty...etc
Everything seemed great and the actress did a flawless acting, but the more I watched the more I started to lose interest and feel that something is off with the plot.

1. The fact that Sarah is supposed to be so highly intelligent that she manages to fool everyone and do all this business on her own...they tried so hard to make her come off as genius but she didn't feel like that at all. No matter what, she still needed lots of help and backup to become that massive, yet she con eveyone and they just sit and watch?!

These high profile people, especially that old annoying woman could easily get rid of her and she would disappear from the face of earth, especially when she doesn't has an actual identity to begin with.
People get killed, even well known celebrities for less than this by powerful rich assholes, but Sarah is just walking around happily and they all either watch or even when they try to harm her, she still manages to escape easily...

2. The corpse in the lake, how come the police didn't give two fucks about that poor man? Who the hell is he? They just care about the woman's corpse amd catching Sarah, but fuck everyone else?! Did the skeleton exist just so the police go to that male host?! The detective guy was so obsessed with her that he disregarded everything else and ended up coming as a total fool in the end, although they made him seem smart and experienced at start.

Also the fact that the male host seemed like a coward, but was still willing to kill someone and a wealthy man with connections on top of it for a woman he barley knew shit about was just...is she really that charming that he was willing to ruin his whole life for her?!

3. The tissue thing, like they really couldn't just check her body and if she lacks a kidney then obviously she is Sarah. Then the tissue dissappears magically (I assume by help of the old man), and she is saved again.

4. The damn ugly purple bag, did she really need to throw it along with the corpse? Also couldn't she take off the dress the faker was wearing as well as get rid of the corpse's skin that has the similar tattoo on it? If she did these things the police wouldn't have reached her or knew about Sarah's existence to begin with. The corpse would be labeled as a total nobody and that's it and it would end up as a cold case.

Couldn't she get rid of the corpse in a better way? Since she is such a genius that nobody can do shit to her how did she end making all these retarded mistakes that lead the police to her?!
I know all this was for the sake of the plot of the drama, since if she didn't get caught the drama wouldn't exist, but the plotholes are so stupid for my liking.

5. The wack ending of her actually letting them jail her, taking that dumb fake Sarah identity to save the brand, the fact that we still don't know who the hell she is and how she lived her whole life without having any info about her in the government systems. The writer really tried hard to make her like the villain character Johan from Monster anime. Extremely smart, mysterious, and untouchable, but she didn't give that vibe at all.

If her goal was to build a luxury brand and be rich, then she could easily do that with the help of her fake old husband, he actually loved her and would let her do what she want, she could build a proper real business with him instead of her just gaining enemies left and right. It just felt as if she just wanted to revenge on eveyone and everything, including people who actually cared for her, be it the old man, that lonely beauty brand CEO woman, or the host guy and so she just came off like a total spiteful brat which goes against that tragic elegant aura the writer tried hard to give her. I didn't sympathy with her at all, and I did get the overall message behind the drama but it was still done poorly.

Still it was a decent watch I guess, but isn't worthy of more than 7/10 max if the watcher is feeling generous.

Title A Virtuous Business Spoiler
I loved this drama but four things annoyed me a lot:
1. The fact that the FL's didn't expose her friend's cheating wife and how she got pregnant from the FL's husband not him. His cheating disgusting wife did such an awful thing yet got away with it easily and her husband will spend the rest of his life being fooled and raise another man child wothout his knowledge. I'm sorry but there is no way in hell I would let a friend go through that and keep silent if I were in FL's shoes.

2. The drama overly focused on FL even though all four women are supposed to be main characters. To make it worse she was the least interesting one among the four and lowkey annoying half of the time. Also her story was overly dramatic, a deadbeat cheating husband, her being mistreated by town people, her mother being a bitch to her for some time, her almost getting raped...etc
It was a bit too much drama to get us to sympathy with her.

3. The whole cold case of kidnapped kids...did they really need to add that? They wasted lots of screen time on it and I couldn't give two fucks about it honestly. The ML could reunite with his mother without all that thriller crap. Also the romance between him and the FL felt a bit forced at times, I mean even after 4 years of dating they act like close co-workers or friends instead of lovers.

4. Second half wasn't as good as first half and ending wasn't done well, they rushed it.

Apart from that this drama is worthy of no less than a 8/10 rating still.

honestly I think 15 years on that damn island is too much. they could make it like 5. but 15 I sabin exaggerated
Exactly! And the FL looks all clean, has perfect skin and hair, she is doing pretty well mentaly...etc after 15 whole years in the middle of nowhere, it was just absurd! If went through what she did I would need at least 3 years of therapy and heavy skin care to finally start acting and looking like a normal human being πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Seriously I hate this type of plot in which everyone are obsessed with same person who isn't even worth it! Just like in harem and reverse harem animes in which the protaginst is extermely unlikable while almost everyone who chases them is highly likeable yet they fall for trash protaginst for an unknown reason.

Why is Doha so liked? Why is he same age as me yet act like a preteen?! Okay I can get over him being a virgin, I'm also a virgin myself, but that doesn't excuse his stupidity and how unreliable he can be.

I don't like these toddler like adult MCs and don't understand why Asians are so into them. Give me major pedo vibes. Any adult who act that childish needs a serious therapy and lecture.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that. He just feels empty, like he isn't a bad actor, but it doesn't seem…
Yeah, okay. I didn't watch one week friend, but I did watch your lie in April. Was decent I guess, but not mind blowing.
I'm not hating on him, I just don't consider him as one of my favorite actors when it comes to romance plots.

Every person excels at something, and also can have weaknesses, doesn't make him a bad actor necessarily. I know in some of his roles he plays roles of toxic and awful boyfriends, but that's not why I dislike his acting in these roles.

Even bad /evil characters can be liked (Even more than ML, like the Joker for example) but because the actors make them that charismatic.
He lacks chemistry with FLs that's my issue, it's supposed to be romantic but it feels hollow. Same goes for Song Kang, he is great at Melodramas and thrillers, but isn't good at romance due to severe lack of chemistry and ability to properly convey his love for FLs.

I still love both of them, and they are both very handsome and got good personalities irl.

I wouldn't go as far as stain, but it's her worst drama I guess. She did well playing the role, it's just that the plot was so painfully weak and cringe. Song Kang also isn't that great at romance roles, he does great in Melodramas and thrillers, but when it comes to romance I never feel real chemistry between him and the FLs. Him and You Jung looked great together visually, but they had zero chemistry...

Sure, that's your opinion and nothing is wrong with it, but for me personally I would rather not watch his romance roles anymore. I would always check out his dramas of other genres though.

Arisu and L Lawliet are the only roles I like of him actually, he does well im thriller/crime plots, but when it comes to plots that are heavily focused on romance, he isn't that great at.

The first couple of eps weren’t bad, but after that… It took me MONTHS to even get to ep 15. Had this drama…
I kid you not if it wasn't for Song Kang and You Jung, no one would bother watch more than 3-4 episodes of this drama. Their pretty faces are the reason it has an 8+ rating with such trash plot and fatal amount of cringe. (Just to clarify, I love both Song Kang and You Jung, but the truth is that of it wasn't for their popularity, this drama rating would be less than 5).
