Seriously, I'm sickened by just seeing Qi Min. I don't think I've ever disliked someone the way I dislike him. If it weren't for QQ I'd skip all his scenes
Genuinely asking, what do you guys like abt this drama other than the cinematography? The plot feels all over…
The story is very basic, although I didn't want to agree. In the beginning they made us think it'd be something new, but only FCY being a butcher is new, the rest is basic. Politics here are so easy, not entangled, they're very basic. But I heard the novel was something that didn't seem THAT creative, I heard a lot of people saying both the writing and the story looked like a fanfiction.
What I like here is TXW, ZLH, cinematography, ZQJ, the casting, the romance storyline, and that's about it. A lot of people here are being protective, but we all have to agree that the drama is all over the place. They didn't have space/time within only 40 eps to cover everything, used 1/3 of the drama with just Lin'an and only 7 episodes for the capital. They could've adjusted this better.
But it's still a good drama. The leads are doing an awesome job. QM is boring ngl, he's almost giving up everything cause of his craziness for QQ (he could've gotten the throne by now if he kept his act instead of going crazy for 1 woman). The story is generic (only the leads' romance is not), but what they gave us in the first half is still keeping most of us here, since they didn't change the story, just clearly didn't have enough time/eps to fit what they wanted.
I didn't put it in 1.5x till ep ~20. Now I've been watching the last 5 eps in 1.5, just the leads' scenes I put it to normal. Some parts are very boring. A shame, it started so good, but the rush at the end is sad. Although it's still much better than many dramas since they didn't deviate much
