Angelababy is really beautiful. And yk? She can actually pass as a man, she looks like a male with feminine traits. And her acting is really good. It's the 1st time I watch a drama of hers
She is no damsel in distress, are we watching the same thing? She is very resourceful, that is why ML is attracted…
!! I'm pretty sure information about him are going around cause he's very famous. That kind of information that any traveling merchant should have to protect themselves and their goods. Also, her family works for Yannan's imperial family (I still didn't get to understand if they're kings, or whatever), she should know the ins of other places to give enough information to them. Didn't she say that her father was in a bad spot with Yannan's king? A useful piece of info could definitely help She's not knowledgeable, just prodigy, the others from her family are just stupid. Now that she's knowing about how the world works she can put her prodigy to act

I marked on the text that I was on the 2nd episode. And up to that she WAS a damsel im distress. She had no useful fighting skills to go against strong people but kept trying to fight (costing her friend's life and her own, thankfully the boy didn't die). She kept throwing herself into danger and had the ML protect her, and she still does! She knows the leader from Yannan is a bad person but still trusts whatever those people say. She's a traveled person so the bare minimum she should know is how the things works on other places. She's like a sheltered pot flower that travels place to place but know nothing about where she's going It's blatant
I see. Based on the last scene of the queen "crowning" the baby prince of the late crown prince with her umbrella, I guess he'll be the future king. Also, Kang said to the boy (on his mind) that he'll be the future crown prince. Their plan, from the beginning, was to secure the throne and pass it to the rightful heir (cause the late CP died an unjust death).
This drama was so beautifully done, things doesn't need to go perfect. And in politics, not everyone receives what they deserve (some court officials weren't punished), and that's how the world works. I loved it! The punishments they received was based on what they gave. The only poor souls caught in the midst of all of this were the late crown princes (taein and bae in hyuk's). I loved how the story unfolded, it's rare for a kdrama to keep me watching without stopping nowadays. I loved loved loved the queen, she had grown in such a short period of time just cause she wanted to protect her sons. Also, the brotherhood was AMAZING. I think that if Gyeseong told his brothers his secret they'd definitely help him in some way, but I get that he was afraid. The only thing that saddens me is the fact that he'd never return to the palace, cause he doesn't want to go back to his old self. And Muan coming everyday 😂 Bogeom said that a prince that left can't come back for personal reasons, but Muan acts as if he works outside the palace and comes back home everyday😂 I loved these brothers seriously
Also, CHEONGHA I LOVE YOU. The girl literally RAN after her dream (Kang), she literally kept running after him😂 I pray she lives a long life Look how simple it was? Other than the officials no one raised their voices to oppose the king. The truth should prevails, if someone reveals this kind of truth, even with something they own on the gamble, people are bound to accept it better. Maybe the people did kinda oppose to it, but not enough to raise a rebellion or strongly oppose the king.
I'll be missing the queen and her sons (and Cheongha). Maybe I'll rewatch the beginning someday, it was so fun. She kept them under her umbrella to protect them from any bad rain that could fall on them, but now they have enough power to protect her against anyone that could harm her. And that's thanks to all the things she did for them and for the kingdom ❤️ God bless
The FL is like a damsel in distress liking in a pink glass colored world. She think that if everyone stop fighting everything will be ok and that she knows everything and about everyone just cause she's traveled everywhere. I hope she'll have a character development (I'm at ep 2). Cause, oh God, she's terrible. Ik the ML isn't a saint, but he definitely knows about world politics better than her. Why? He's a heir, and she's just a noble merchant. Shouldn't she, with all her knowledge, understand this?
Idc if they're hurting each other in the beginning cause I understand they don't know each other. What I care is that the FL is taken as intelligent and a prodigy when her knowledge is so limited
Does anyone know if this is coming to Viki or iQiyi?
As of now, no signs on viki. Idk about Iqiyi, but it's releasing on youtube. For non members 2 eps are out, for members there're 6 eps. Membership is 1 dollar
Because of the target audience. Since they aim at young girls, these girls wanna relate to watch they're reading/watching. I loved shoujo when I was younger cause I thought those things would happen to me as well (poor me)😂
Shoujo is a genre. A japanese genre, it's a genre for teen girls. Anything related to cringe, cute, love, things like that are shoujo. It's a wide genre that embraces many subgenres
I've been watching dramas for 12 years and I also can't remember such a situation off the top of my head. Knetz…
Jirisan has bad reviews in Korea but at least it wasn't this bad. And I remember that international viewers didn't receive Jirisan with this much hate I was one of the eager people waiting every week for the episodes 😁
