Yes. We still don't know what's his deal. He wants revenge and ruin for MD but he's failing his project badly and now is sabotaging his position, either he faked his reputation or he's doing it on purpose to manipulate stock prices and flush out company funds.

In the preview she tells her father about what she's left in U.S. to come there, maybe they loved each other and GC returned to SK to take over MD and Stella's son either commited suicide or DUIed and died. GC also found out she was pregnant and they hid it as to not ruining her prospects.

Aside from it not being jn line with GC's character, it gives her a pitiful backstory and sympathy which she doesn't deserve.
