Plot seems quite generic. Like it's been told a hundred times already. Dear Novel readers, is storytelling any good? Like the expansion or plot twists?
Oof—It was PAINFUL to watch Qiu Hua's indifference towards Zhang Quan Quan. (Many times I yelled at my screen,…
Sorry for late reply, I only finished it last week. Quite agree with your opinions, this must be one of the wierdest marriages I've ever seen, worse than an arranged or open one when everyone is doing her/his business independently. As YingZhi said this wasn't a matriage just a cooperation.
And what was that cheating plot? Was it even cheating? She didn't care at the slightest and only said "Alright, I was indifferent to you so that's it. Just be careful and don't get caught!" Then she went on with her work as if nothing has happened at all. So irrelevant!
I think because of her personality she didn't have much faith in a marriage in the first place, so cheating must have been somewhere in her unconscious mind all the time and giving how cynical she is, when she saw ber husband sitting with an older (?) woman, her suspicions rang true. Also she once said QQ not coming to collect her lessens her guilt, maybe his alleged adultry lessens it even more. He doesn't pay much attention to her, he has another woman hence she will be free to pursuit her life and work without feeling guilty about ignoring her marriage and husband emotionally and physically.
Even Hao Lei and Xia Shu pair, which I liked, turned out to be a disappointment. It's astonishing how there are 38 episodes and everything is left with either loose ends or hasty, unsasisfying wrap ups.
The 2ML is super annoying and whiney. I can still hear him whinning Song Niang all the drama time in my head after…
Yeah. It's the last scene and epilogue. Fast forwarded several years. Although to be honest he (or his cowardice) kind of got her father killed too, so well... a bit weird.

No. It doesn't happen chronically. She has a child when she's a concubine not the Empress. Unfortunately I've forgotten the details about how Song Nyang and deposed king fall apart the 2nd time (the first time she thinks he's dead and becomes a palace maid). Then she marries Togon and has a child later. It is too long for me to go and check the eps. maybe you can see online recaps to know where to look. The killing is after her coronation, the last episode.

I think initially he went back to Goryo to manage his country and when she crowns as the Empress, Togon becomes delusional about his power and Song Nyang and had kim killed when he came for the coronation.
I think it's exactly because he's got such an amiable and calm face and voice that he can play a certain kind of villains so good p.e. seemingly fatherly masters, evil officers or schemers, etc. Being a villain is the last thing one (in the dramaworld) would think
He's sure prolific, may I ask which one of his dramas have you seen?

Not exactly. I've forgotten the details but she loves Goryo king but some events lead to her becoming Togon's concort, then she becomes power hungry and revengeful and eventually at the epilogue she tells a sick dying Togon she loves him too.
Did you find out yourself? There are 3 murderes, Shen Xia, her brother and Jiang Peng.
I think the ending was his dream. He was going to report his new position and on the way he dreamed about the only time he'd seen Shen Xia's brother. He did tell he'd seen him collecting his sister once in front of the school. He was remembering that day when they were all alive and happy, just normal people.
At first I thought this is the usual teacher-student drama about a jealous elder who surpassed the promising resident and she has returned to take revenge but this crime_thriller tag with Sycopath female has me excited.
I once read a crossover fanfiction of The Merciless and Kill Bok Soon with Im Si Wan as Mantis . The writer had a good premonition of imagining ISW as Mantis. 😁
They could've wrapped it quite neatly in S2 already but wasted their time on long boring cases. I enjoyed chatting with you too. (✷‿✷)

The last brain death case was also just there to deal with their too similar traumas, while they could do something better with the last 2 episodes.
