I came across this clip about Han Dong's evil masters on Weibo and it was so funny. I haven't seen The Longest Promise but the other two are so relevant.
This movie is good, not because after all the suffering and humiliation FL becomes a champion and takes the first…
as it's the clichรฉ of such stories. No, it's good because it says if you change youself and you life for better even if you don't win still you're the winner. She's the winner of her life. Everyone took her for granted but she made something out of her life and found a purpose. That's what I really liked despite the straightforward and simple story.
I rewatched some part of the movie, couldn't see it all and I did saw him around the middle. IDK he was shown again or not. He asked Seok Chan to work for him, maybe he was a gangaster leader.
Yes he has, in (Remarriages and Desires)+ (Search)I've watched all of his drama except (She Would Never Know)
I dropped it after 2 eps but I remember he was secretly dating FL but also SFL was in love with him and had already tried killing herself over his rejection hence he'd accepted to marry her. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ฎโ๐จHe's good actor and his face and voice merge good with being a villain but he must stop playing jerks. He has very small movie roles but they're rather better.
I'll celebrate the day I can watch a Cdrama on air. ๐ฅด๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธI've been watching ep. 1 since Jan 7th and only finished it today.๐ฌ๐ I'm always left behind here....
First of all, the queen is slaying her outfits ok. She is like walking a runway every episode. Love her. Favorite…
There is logic (a cruel calculative kind ) behind his actions. The king wants his power omnipotent, he wants to rule without disobediance and free of eveyone thinking they have a share of the throne just because they helped him sit on it and drown themselves in corruption. He ended up killing/exiling many of his initial supporter like Jeon Do Yeon to secure his rule.
He'd also seen and feared too much power at the hands of a queen. Add to the mix him being the 3rd king of a newly stablished yet unstable dynasty. He could've been overthrowned rather easily. His wife's family were powerful and they kept gaining even more after his enthronement, it eventually led him to kill her 4 brothers and father IIRC. He did the same to his son's in-laws later.
The drama is from the Queen POV and focuses on her and other wives, it has taken its liberties with the historical facts, so we can't be sure how much of her rule in the all that mess are true....
So they had a truce for a few years, I wonder what will happen to lead to the infamous in-law cleansing. For now it seems like the calm before the storm....
So many favourite here but I didn't really understand what happened midway forward, sadly it was so boring I didn't want to watch again to understand what was the deal...๐ ๐ฅด
LBW was practically begging the Queen to save Young shil:
1. Saying she was the only one who'd ever given him comfort was "I love her",
2. I don't want to lose her meant "I can't lose her!"
3. And please save her was as much as he could bring himself to beg.
What more did she expect? Him kneeling down and crying for mercy? Isn't she supposed to be smart enough to know better than provoking him? Especially since her family were already involved...
