The real surprise was KKT believing for one second that GLH would do something for DM. He'd seen first hand that DM had been a tool for her from the start to the finish and how she not only abused DM herself but watched someone beat her to a pulp and supposedly kill her. That was an amateur and desperate move.
On top of that now she uses every oportunity to claim she's the representive of Moms ๐คก and even her admitting she's DM's mom is for the sake of getting on good side of Matthew in bed and other places.
What was with the ending scene of ep.13? I actually had to backward to check if it had a time skip or something. How Han Na was so friendly and open with Matthew where as with other adults she was polite but weary? And who is GLH to tell her anything about how to behave? When did they even meet?
Also what did YJM's expression and Matthew's meaningful look mean? KKT told YJM as much for him to know he doesn't have Madam No and HN and he's found the K's identity. Now seeing HN with Matthew, can it be possible that he put 2 and 2 together and found out things, so now Matthew is manipulating him to stay silent or they will be dead? ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ It was even weirder than water taking KKT all the way to the very same island LHS is prisoned at.
Actually in the first episodes when we were prediciting LHS will have PS and become ML, I noticed their faces and thought to myself they really have rather similar facial features like checkbones and such. Now with this revelation, real SJS and Matthew look nothing alike. He must have quite the makeover. ๐ถ
May I ask anybody to mark their comments spoiler please. Many people watch it back to back, are waiting for a binge watch or something. We expressing our emotions left and right so clearly isn't fair to them.๐๐ป๐
Well. I have mixed feelings about it tbh. It wasn't that surprising, many people said he's K but we all thought he's probably the real K and SJS is impersonating him. I put my bets more on him being DM's real dad because I was hoping for a villain vs villain plot. Now it's turned out to be Villain vs himself. In that case I'm disappointed.
About the reveal itself, it's farfetched. We must heavily rely on how psycopathic he is that he actually went and had a plastic surgery to age himself up a decade, give or take and he uses a full mask (I never bought or understood these masks in any show, btw๐) when he's himself. Also, the universal rule that when someone has a PS in a show, not only their cace but their height, voice, bone structure, etc will be chnahed natuarlly. With these 2 I can stomach it. I read you dropped it for good, yes?
I think it may be similar to Kingdom (the Korean drama) https://kisskh.at/22806-kingdom
Oh, don't worry though.Kingdom is a Netflix original (the first korean one ever iirc) but knowing Netflix's tendency to renew or cancel whenever they feel like it, its fate is blurry now. It's been ages since I checked it but still.
The Mutition is a Chinese drama and not seasonal so I believe we're safe here. It's not a remake or something ๐
I start this drama from 1st episode and once again I'm reminded of why I normally don't start daily makjangs this soon if ever. FL is a smiling idiot and she barely has any scene with ML, cheaters are almost caught on every episodes but get away, former friends and family members keep walking next to each other, bumping or going to the same place yet they don't meet. ๐ถ
Not being aired because of baseball league doesn't help this slow story as well...
One thing I don't like in kdramas and happened here is using the affair as a comic relief. Like ML acting like an clown talking to himself about how much he loves his wife (my foot!) or comical, sneaky mischevious BGM playing in their scenes. It's not endearing, cute or funny but all so cringe. I know sometimes supporting sheater are used as fun subplots but they overdo it sometimes. ๐ฌ
The FL I want to slap her like Cher in Moonstruck and tell her to snap out of it. Her sunny Mary Tyler Moore personality…
I agree with Fairyqueen1 here. This is the recycled norm for FL in makjangs. They've had all sorts of hardship in life but are sunshine and all smile only to turn Lady Revenge after something happens. The worst is that half of them end up forgiving and helping the villains at the end๐
Trailer showed a shot of a pregnant SR, then her dumping a baby somewhere. Do you think they're going to be pregnant at the same time? With SR abandoning hers? (Probably blaming this on DJ and her dad too)๐ Or swaping the babies?
Also, characters' list shows a little girl under YH's name as his daughter without a mother mentioned. Seems the missing babies trope in this drama is going to be leads' children instead of them. ๐ค
So K has found Madam No and Han Na. Does he know/suspect the child's paternity? or he's looking to find some leverage…
I still suspect that KKT acted as he did because he knew Matthew is not LHS but in case he's with K, it make sense that when he found out Madam No has a 5, 6 yrs old daughter whom she claims is YJM's and is unsure about her parents, K starts to watch them too.
So K has found Madam No and Han Na. Does he know/suspect the child's paternity? or he's looking to find some leverage over YJM. (not that he needs much of that but still)
If Dami is alive, the whole plan will fumble. Do Hyuk will be cornered as the lone sufferer. Plus, whoever Matthew…
I originally thought DM was alive. Now I think it's quite possible that she died for real. There must be some real casualty to ignite the revenge after all. Avengers may fake their death but not everybody has means to do it.
The โscarโ that LHS has is actually a tattoo (he and his wife got it to reassure Da Mi as she was being teased…
If he's really DM's bio dad so maybe his scar is real. I'm not sure if it was mentioned but maybe DM's heart condition had been congenital and her dad had the same operation? ๐ค
