What's the plot?

I wanted at least a scene of A-fei and Xiaobao sharing the upstairs guest room.

Everyone kept telling her but she just didn't want to believe it😂😂

Actually with/out the special, the ep. 40 ending was rather satisfying for me. It felt realistic and in line with how the story had progressed so I'm not really sad over it.

The reason they had to kick di feisheng out of the plot after giving li lianhua the styx flower until the very end was because if he'd found out that li lianhua was going to give the flower— his last shot at longer life— to the emperor because he'd threatened to kill fang duobing, he would've gone to the palace and committed regicide without a second thought.

Didn't find it, thanks for recap. No wonder some fans say the special made bittersweet of OE turn sour by strongly implying that LLH is dead after all.☹😔

As far as the canon goes, I'm more than happy with no romance. Still I like the irony of their relationship, he didn't know her and ran away to escape the marriage, then he got to know and adore her but they couldn't marry.....

I'm not much into shipping non-romantic pairs but if I have to pick a couple here, it would be LLH/DFS. Not only our Ah Fei've never had any interest in women, also the mere mention of LLH/LXY is enough to make him react. Speak of infatuation😄😂

I finally managed to finish it. Very beautiful and well-made, one of the best Cdramas I've ever watched. I think the ending is better than the novel.

How many eps. are out?

I still haven't watched 15 and 16 but comments and spoilers are seriously dicouraging me from even watch it before rating for good.
