it's nice if you skip most of it
(PLEASE READ! SKIP TO THE END FOR SUMMARY OR IF YOU DON'T WANT DETAILS.)I'll make this short, the story was alright. the acting was pretty good, and the cinematography was nice (in a way). The problem is the execution, in a way.
Important complaints:
The timeline was confusing, character development didn't make sense, the scenes were dreadfully long. Like the monologues were longer than the actual meaningful scenes. They served no purpose. There was major miscommunication, although it was slightly understandable and I don't mind it. Whoever story boarded this/the screenwriters did not do a good job. Many fans are saying that people are complaining about the miscommunication too much, but the miscommunication isn't the problem. If they want miscommunication, then fine. However, they did an absolutely horrid job on showing misunderstandings and miscommunication. half of the episodes were either the black haired guy having mood swings/being cold or just very confusing timelines. I could skip most of the second half of the drama (besides for the ending) and still understand everything. They also made the black haired guy stupid for no reason, they didn't think about the character's personality before writing about their reaction to a certain situation. The first half of the drama was so great, it's such a shame. It feels like after the midway point, anything that happened in an episode got completely erased and had no meaning in the next. There's so much more that I could complain about but you get the point,
execution = 👎
Good things:
-It had a pretty promising and strong beginning.
-The ending was almost the only entertaining part, so that's nice
-The cinematography was great in the times you didn't fall asleep
-The acting was really great sometimes but also not, at the same time. I mean, the actors were great at acting out important situations like a human, but they couldn't take into account how the character would act. They also didn't think about how previous things that happened to the character would affect how the character would act in the future, so they could work on that.
-The editing was nice
-I liked the addition of background characters in some scenes, it made it feel more natural. (though that is probably also the camera crew's doing)
-------------------------------------------------------------
I feel like if they cut like a fourth of the episodes and put in the plot without stretching it out, it would actually be pretty nice. If they also put some more thought into the characters (in all ways, the writing, cinematography, acting, etc.), that would be great. The camera crew did great, though. They did their best to make the dreadful long and stupid scenes to work and look nice.
I would definitely not rewatch it, but I will at least attempt watching the sequel (when and if it comes out). If you are going to watch this, I recommend putting episode 6-9 in 2x speed, or at least just know that it's okay to skip boring scenes and that you will miss out on nothing. I hope this review helps the community!

cute drama, I definitely recommend
now after reading all the other reviews, I kind of disagree with them. It has a basic story but it executes that well, there aren't random actions that happen for no reason - everything that happens affects the growth of the characters. The characters don't have unnecessarily toxic families for no reason, they're very healthy. I'd say the drama is very realistic too, showing real problems and how tough the solutions can be.Con rating between main ship:
10/10 consent
10/10 respect for each other
con rating between all side ship 1
8.7/10 consent
9.5/10 respect for each other
con rating between all other side ships:
10/10 consent
10/10 respect
I'd like to write about things I liked and disliked, but that would spoil it. if you're reading this, I say go for it but be prepared to skip a few scenes, I feel the third ship had an unnecessary amount of scenes (this Is the uncut version though, what can you expect)
anyhow these two have a great dynamic and chemistry, they bring the best out of each other and I definitely recommend this drama - I binge watched it for 13-14 hours straight!

it has a deep meaning, but if you're just a casual bl watcher, it's quite boring
Now honestly at first I didn't think I was watching the same drama as everyone else, it was quite boring and I only finished it for the sake of finishing a drama. I get that it's unique and has a very realistic and deep meaning that must be fun for others, it's art. But as entertainment, almost every scene past episode 5 was painful to watch. Random (and boring) dialogues, sudden appearance of characters, etcetera. Not to mention the acting of sei was horrendous, I get his feelings are supposed to be compressed but the acting felt bland the entire time, it was kind of frustrating. The timeline was also confusing. I don't know why I'm the only one that didn't enjoy this, it was simply boring. Now as I said, this is art. If you like these type of meaningful dramas where every small detail is like a poem that you can find something beautiful if you look deeper in, then sure, watch it. But if you want a drama that can entertain you and you can enjoy, I don't really recommend it.
I only rated this 6.5 as to not ruin their ratings, I'm sure it was crazy fun to others but if I had to rate it the same way I would do to any other drama (storytelling, story, acting, editing, how fun it is to watch) I would give it a 5.

it's not all that, however
you can get much more information from other reviews, so all I'm going to say is that it was stretched out and horribly paced. I do recommend that you watch it, though.it's not a rewatchable drama, it's hard to deal with the pacing again. I rewatched the drama by skipping all parts I found boring/uninteresting.
If you are a hardcore zee/saint or Jimmy/Tommy shipper then u should watch it.
I need 70 more characters so here: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa thank you

It's amazing, I definitely reccomend
I love the stuff they portrayed, it makes it feel so realistic. I love how koyoi being confused and panicing in high school was shown perfectly, how it shows him realizing how it was later and a lot of daily problems that seem okay on paper (like changing your number) but in reality it's not okay at all if you don't think of the other party (partner, friend, family etc).btw AMAZING acting. you could see their personalities and how some problems came through from every scene. as if they literally became the character.
things I disliked:
- the camera was a but shaky at times
- koyoi kicking hitos leg when he got mad (I know it was very light and it shows some character in him on why he keeps doing it, it was just a but excessive. they could've at least make him change after high school)
- the way that college classmate was introduced, it made me very frustrated
-lack of boundaries on hitos part
most of my critique was just the character, so don't let ur demotivate you to watch it
