Title Orange Soda Spoiler
i'm just a girlie with a soft spot for childhood friends to lovers so the ending hurt me lol
I also like the childhood friends to lovers later in life storyline. One of the reasons I never finished the bakers something or other. I forgot the title.

I assume you mean the childhood friends don't get together in this show as well?

Title Got a Crush on You Spoiler
couldn't agree moreI almost cancel my plan to watch this after reading some commentsBut after watching this till…
Oh I see. The flower thing seems a bit odd. I will have to watch the drama to understand all the context. I might start watching it today. The drama I just started to watch yesterday seems to be meant for a younger viewer.

I just finished watching "I Know I Love You," the other day. For the most part I liked it. I normally like all the females in asian dramas but the second female lead(the FL best friend) in "I Know I Love You" was someone I would avoid like the plague in real life. I have no idea how any guy would want to be in a relationship with her.

I have noticed writers in some of these dramas seem to like to make things more complicated than it needs to be, just to add some drama to the show.

Personally, I think I might be like you in the sense that I like dramas where people act normally and make logical choices/decisions. I am not a huge fan of misunderstandings that could have been easily avoided by saying one or two things in a simple conversation.

I was just agreeing with the original poster on what an alpha person is usually like, I have no idea if it is the right description for the FL in this show because I have not watched it yet.

It is hard for me to understand what you are saying. I feel like some information is missing in your explanation and I have not watched this show yet.

In your second example the one from episode 19.

Is the FL the ML girlfriend in episode 19? If they are not in a romantic relationship then she does not have to explain, does she? I guess it would be polite for her to explain if she does not want the ML to misunderstand the situation. Or if she knows the ML likes her and she likes the ML then I would think an explanation would be nice.

But some people think jealousy is good so maybe they would purposely not explain thinking the ML would get jealous and be more likely to ask the FL to be the ML girlfriend. Is the ML a little timid or indecisive?

I am watching a different drama at the moment. I will watch this drama next.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not.

But I agree with the original poster. Alpha males are normally arrogant and think they are smarter than anyone else. So I can only assume the same would be true for a female alpha type personality.

This was really good. It might be a bit slow in the beginning for some, but it goes at a decent pace the rest of the way.

This was the first drama in a while where I liked the lead couple when they got together. They actually acted like they were in love, they showed affection for each other and had plenty of kissing scenes.

I couldn't get interested in any of the characters. It was a while ago when I tried. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for that type of show. I may try again in the future.

"serious problem with drinking - this was a HUGE turnoff for me"

Many of the Asian dramas I watch have a lot of drinking. It is a huge turn off for me. I have started to fast forward through all of the acting drunk nonsense scenes.

It gets a little comical when some of these characters feel the need to get blackout drunk just because something trivial happens like the wind blew in the wrong direction that day.

Happy ending but more bumpy than I expected going into the last stretch of episodes.
I am watching "One Spring Night" again. That one is good. It is somewhere between "Sunshine By My Side" and "My Fated Boy"

An example of what I mean by more mature would be... You probably wont get the odd oops I fell and accidentally kissed you scenes. The relationships in a more mature drama have a more natural progression not the sudden whiplash of I don't like you to suddenly I love you type of romance.

I don't know. I think it depends. In my opinion "Sunshine By My Side" is a more mature drama while "My Fated Boy" is less mature.

I feel like "Sunshine By My Side" is closer to reality than "My Fated Boy"

But "Sunshine By My Side" is less mature than something like "Something in the Rain" or "One Spring Night"

So it really depends on what you are in the mood for.

I will continue watching since it sounds like she will become better. Right now in these early episodes I am really not liking her character.

Because of how they handled her as a kid I was expecting something different. I kind of wish they did not build her up that way only to take her down a different path later on.

Thank you for the replies. I appreciate you taking the time :)

Title Lost You Forever Spoiler
We seem to have different ideas about what constitutes a strong female. But no, she does not spend the rest of…
My meaning of the use of strong female is as a badass or someone that can take care of themselves in a physical confrontation. When she was a kid she boasted and could back it up but as an adult she can't seem to do that anymore. Or maybe I should say powerful... I am not sure. This is my first experience with this story/world.

In the first episode as a little girl she physically takes out several bullies at the same time. Using her spirit power or whatever it is they have. Then in episodes 3 and 4 she grovels and begs. I assumed it was because she didn't want to use her power to hurt anyone anymore after killing people in the past. Which makes perfect sense to me. I can understand a character that is powerful but refuses to use their power because of reasons. Maybe past experiences or a moral code.

But then her brother/cousin comes for the antidote and she yields to him like she is powerless. She had a good reason to teach that woman a lesson but she yielded. Apparently, she can not fight physically anymore her power is only for poison and maybe healing...

That is what confuses me and I am wondering if she will ever become strong/powerful again like she was when she was a kid... Or will she be the helpless female that needs a man to protect her for the rest of the season?

I just finished episode 4. She was strong as a kid when she beat up a bunch of bullies, but became weak as an adult male... Does she ever become a strong female again or will she grovel and beg for the rest of this season?

Title Love Me, Love My Voice Spoiler
I usually pick up on red flag behavior but I didn't really sense anything big from this male lead character. Do…
I didn't really see too much of an issue with the wedding photo thing or the apartment. Although considering he wants to marry her, maybe consulting her and getting her opinion on these things would have been a better choice. At least he is going to let her pick the interior design, I guess.

I didn't really get any big alert red flags with his behavior. Maybe a below the surface subtle stuff. But it could easily be brushed off as a caring person or it being their first relationship.

I have seen much worse male leads in Chinese dramas and Korean dramas. Some very big red flags. I can't think of any specific examples but one general thing I have seen is stalking. In real life some of the things these male leads do can be easily considered stalking. Or sexual abuse when it comes to forced kissing. I find it extremely hard to watch those dramas where it goes from hate to love. I don't find it exciting or romantic watching a guy force a girl to do things after she repeatedly says no. Then suddenly she loves the guy... like it is some form of stockholm syndrome.

One thing I did like about this male lead compared to other male leads I have seen in chinese dramas is he was nice, and liked to talk to his friends etc. It seems most of these male leads I have seen need to be stoic and ignoring people when they ask questions. It made it easier to like him even though he is a "god" that is good at everything he does with no real faults or weaknesses.

Without censorship I bet you that Wang Ke and Fei Shao, and Mu Mu and Mobai would have totally been the gay couple…
They certainly hinted at it a few times.

For me it is 9.5/10. 0.5 deducted because for me sometimes the cooking scenes were long, & telling food recipes…
I don't care about food or hearing the recipes but I did like that they did that because it is different. I have never seen anything like that before in a drama. And his explanation was good as well. I think his explanation for doing it was because he didn't know what else to talk about. So telling her about a recipe was a good way to get closer to her and get over the initial shy/awkwardness.

I think her acting got me through the show. The way she did the shyness and the way she looked at him looked genuine. There was no drama in this show so there has to be something to keep interests up.

the French original has remakes around the world. this one almost managed to be perhaps more interesting than…
I have noticed there are many Asian dramas this year that appear to me to be gay romance(from looking at the cover pictures foe the show) but all men no women. It seems a bit odd because I was always under the assumption that in society two women together was more acceptable than two men.
