I have never ever turned off by a lead guy that fast and sudden before... I was totally enjoying the makjang wıth…
I was turned off by the same thing as well. I get the feeling the reason he was happy about it being her nephew is because she is pure again. Like she wasn't allowed to have sex before she met him.
Later on he gets worse in my opinion. He starts to use her son to get close to her. When she says no to something he goes behind her back and conspires with her son to get what he wants.
I think that is horrible especially since he is from a rich family and there is zero chance his family will say yes to his relationship with a mother of a 9 year old son. So her son will be hurt badly by the inevitable let down. But obviously they will have a happy ending since it is a drama but in real life it is very bad to use a kid to get with their mother. Adults know what they are in for with each new relationship. They know the pluses and minuses, kids do not.
I also thought she was acting weird. Her son means everything to her yet she is not protecting him from this guy who is steamrolling over her. He gets everything he wants even after she says no. I don't like how they wrote her character. I don't think she would be so easy going and compliant like that, not when her son needs protecting.
The main lead is acting very immature and selfish. I am still watching though. Hopefully it gets better.
I hope you kept going , I loved the drama but what kept me watching it was Gu Jia character and story .
I just skimmed through the first episode. It looks like the one with the main couple runs a fireworks company and he ends up cheating on her?
I believe I gave up around episode 17 or so. I think the man from the main couple just finished doing something in another country at an amusement park where he met a girl I assume he did or is going to cheat on his wife with. For some reason, that couple really bothered me. It might have been because I liked her from another show. Then someone spoiled it for me by saying she ends up alone living in the mountains with her son?
I think the other one met a guy that lives in another city. That was an odd relationship. Did they end up staying together? If I recall correctly he wasn't interested in marriage.
Then the third one divorced her husband and I assume she ends up with the new guy at her office workplace? I don't think they were a couple before I stopped watching.
I don't think it was a bad show but for some reason, I could not get interested in it. If I remember correctly 1 or more of the female cast was in a couple of other shows I liked. I think that is why I gave this one a try.
I haven't really watched many dramas from China. I mostly watch Korean dramas. Seems like all the really popular dramas from China are historical ones. For some reason, those don't interest me.
Literally just smashed this drama and did an overnighter, I'm sad it's over too quick. As someone in her 30s who…
Those type tend to be the ones I like best. They seem to be few and far between though. I can only watch so many dramas where the male lead treats the female like dirt until he suddenly falls for her.
Really having a hard time with the first episode of this season. I feel like after all the stuff the An Di character…
Apparently, there was some sort of magic in the water or beer An Di drank on her vacation because she seems be completely cured of her fear/hatred/dislike of human contact.
Really having a hard time with the first episode of this season.
I feel like after all the stuff the An Di character went through in the first season... I find it hard to believe things would turn out the way it is... This new guy is way worse than her ex. He is not only pushy but extremely annoying.
I think the writers are nuts. They should have focused on the other character's relationships more in the early episodes, while An Di took a time out to get better. She probably should get some therapy to find out what is wrong with her and then after several episodes maybe start hinting at a new relationship with that guy.
This drama has a high rating and great reviews but I am having a hard time getting into it. I am only on the 5th episode so far, hopefully, I will find it more interesting soon.
The romance part of this show was disappointing in pretty much every relationship but the story/journey was pretty good. I personally didn't feel like it slowed down much but I could see how others might think it was a bit draggy.
I give it 8.5 because DingDing story line was lame and I fast forwarded her part all the way through the drama…
I am glad I am not the only one that found her character and her storyline not so good. I thought her love interest was annoying as well. I did not like him at all.
I think I started to fast forward through their on screen time together around episode 12 or so.
I have a question for anyone that has finished watching this show, but it is a spoiler so I will post it in a…
In the last episode Dai Xiao Yu the one who went on a trip with You Shan Shan told her grandmother not to worry she found someone she could trust with her life. Does she mean her and Shan Shan are a couple now?
In episode one about 19 minutes and 10 seconds into it. The female lead bumps into a cart. Then right after that, there is another female coming out of the same building the female lead just exited.
It appeared she was going to walk through the scene, either in front of or behind the female lead when all of a sudden she did a stutter step. I can only imagine she spotted some person off-camera waving furiously telling her not to walk through the scene where the female lead is. If you keep watching the female after she does her stutter-step she walks a bit unsure/aimlessly away from the camera and then turns to walk back into the same building she just exited.
I have not watched too many Chinese dramas but this is the first one where every other sentence wasn't someone saying how handsome the male lead is... So I will give it some bonus points.
I am on episode 16. The episode where they are doing the live show with the famous guy. At this point, I have…
I forgot to mention the part where he is spending company funds like drinking water even though he knows the female lead(the CEO) doesn't want him too. Including spending 300k to get the host he wanted for the live event. Even though he knows the host he wants is going against the wishes of the CEO.
I am on episode 16. The episode where they are doing the live show with the famous guy.
At this point, I have no idea how the female lead can like the male lead. He is incredibly immature. He threw a massive temper tantrum when he wasn't selected as the CEO. He is constantly lying to her. He doesn't respect her at all. He doesn't trust her. He lied to the whole company about choosing one of them to be the main host for the live event. Then when he didn't get his way he went behind the CEO back to get the girl he wanted to host.
I am now up to the part where instead of being upset with the male lead for his underhanded tactics the female lead let the male lead talk her into wearing the mascot costume. If this were the real world the male lead would be fired and have no chance in heck of getting together romantically with the female lead.
I just do not understand how the writers of this show can think anyone would believe the female leads behavior at this point? How can she let the male lead walk all over her constantly and act like there is nothing wrong?
I enjoyed this drama, the beautiful scenery and OST in the first two episodes hooked me in. The characters are…
I thought he was great, as an all around really nice guy. One of the few male lead characters I like in Korean dramas. Most of the time especially in a 16 episode drama males leads are mean to the female lead, then somehow end up together.
I agree with you on the female lead. I thought she played that part perfectly.
"ML isn’t the typical cold domineering jerk, he’s actually quite warm, just quiet/reserved!"
I tend to like dramas where the ML is a nice guy not a jerk, who becomes "nice."
I just finished "Hi, Venus." That was a good overall drama. There are a few others I like but can't remember there names at the moment.

She needs help from a therapist.
