I probably should have read more about this show before watching it. I just saw a clip on facebook and it looked like it was light-hearted and fun. Turns out it was much more serious than I expected. I enjoyed it anyway. It was a well done drama.
I absolutely love EVERYTHING about this show but I need to know im not the only one INFURIATED with that goddamn…
I just came here to post something similar. The last part kind of makes the rest of the show meaningless.
She fought so hard against it when she was told she was only going to be CCO for a year then they were going to move her to a small agency or a teaching position. Then she kills herself to fight against them only to end up where they wanted her anyway.
This drama could fill a decent size river with the amount of crying they do.
I give up, after about 40 something episodes. The only storyline worth following is the main couple but the female character confuses me. She is supposed to be a certain thing but her decisions are not consistent to the type of person she must have been in order to be where she is in her life.
The male lead is very selfish and childish in my opinion. He claims he loves the female lead yet everything he does to show his love is immature. He acts like a teenager with his first love. At one point when he is trying to win her back he says he hopes to start rumors they are together then he tells one of her subordinates he loves her and they are going to get married.
He knows what she wants. She wants to be recognized for her own abilities and not to get ahead like her birth mom by marrying into power/money. Which basically means she would not want to openly be in a relationship with the son of the chairman of the company because when she gets promoted everyone will think it is because of her marriage not her abilities. Yet he still wants to create rumors of them being in a relationship so he can get what he wants. Completely selfish.
as a male i say we need more rich FLs and poor MLs troop.. i'm kind of tired of this rich ML with poor female…
More rich females and poor male leads would be a nice change.
I have watched ugly alert a few times. I like that one a lot. Anyone thinking of checking it out, it is one of those 100+ episode dramas so don't expect high quality sets and/or acting. But the story and the things that happen were very emotionally moving at times. The male lead was likable.
Another one I like that involves a "wealthy" woman and a poor male lead is Encounter.(2018) That one is also a noona romance. It can be a bit slow at times but I liked both the leads.
A bonus to both of these dramas is the male leads are nice guys. I get tired of watching dramas where the male lead starts out as a jerk. Then for some odd reason, the female falls for him and he becomes marginally nicer to her.
This is a great drama for people who like nice guys for the main lead. Both leads were great and they were great together. The story was good and the show was easygoing—no prolonged drama. Most issues that came up were solved rather quickly.
That's mainly because you are a Karen. Women's age shouldn't bother you. They are both old btw. Do get some treatment…
Now you insult me for pointing out you are the bad one in this thread. Thanks for proving my point again. The only Karen I see in this thread is you.
No one is shaming women in this thread. No one is protecting misogyny in this thread. No one cares when a person plays a part when they are not the exact same age. People do notice when they play parts when the age difference is over 10 years and it is noticeable.
Please try to relax and stop saying people are doing things that they are clearly not doing.
It's far more likely she's in her early 40s or late 30s. She's older than both her brother and Chi Yeol. Chi Yeol…
The actor they used for her flashback scene looked around 20.
How old are people on the national teams. I assumed most are 18-24. They said a few times that she and her sisters kid have been together for a decade.
I think the male lead could easily pass for someone in their early 30's.

"Blaaaa Blaaaa Blaaaa if insulting people is your idea of giving an opinion "
The only one I see insulting people in this thread is you, Salsa mia.
You lashed out at imanelg for making a valid point. The actor is 50 and they cast her in a show where the character can't be any older than early 30's.
The beginning of this drama is really hard to watch for me. Watching episode 12 now. The Qian Kai character is such a pathetic loser. He is so clueless he must be brain-dead. He is so clingy and obsessive, any sane female would get a restraining order or run away from him as fast and as far as possible.
This was a really good drama. I enjoyed the speed skating underdog storyline. All the romance stuff was easy going not much angst and pretty cute. I always like the nice guy male lead over the mean male lead who becomes better after the main couple gets together.
I have watched 1 and a half episodes... So far this show is really hard to watch. I think it is supposed to be funny but it is just, annoying.
I am going to assume she had 2 wisdom teeth taken out from how he described the procedure. I don't think they would just use a local anesthetic. I think most dentist will put their patients to sleep before taking out wisdom teeth. I don't think she would feel well enough to not stay home in bed for a couple of days.
And the last thing she did before I decided to post was drink with a straw. Every time I have gone to the dentist to have a tooth removed they specifically tell me not to drink with a straw because it could cause problems. I think it is called dry socket. Apparently, it is extremely painful.

Unless she was in her late 30's when she was on the national handball team. But the actor did not look that old in the flashback scenes.
There was one really over the top moment, where the FL wiped sweat of the ML brow while he was stitching up a patient.
