I hope people give the drama a try before making a decision based on these reviews. I don’t believe in review bombing but I feel like this drama is getting extra attention from all the haters. It’s got its flaws, but it was still entertaining and not as bad as some people make it out to be.
Not sure whether I missed it, but did we ever get an explanation into the flashback scene where HI just had the miscarriage and while looking at the ultrasound picture, she told herself not to cry because “you don’t deserve to cry” or something along those lines. What did she mean by that?
Poor??? Many claimed that he is a rich person, and comes from a famous family of lawmakers. And they wanted him…
Hrmz, yes I just had a look on wiki and it says he come from a rich family. I guess you can’t always believe everything you read on Wiki. Either that, or maybe he was living poor because his family didn’t support his decision to pursue acting so he had to go it alone and fend for himself.
This might sound personal but I just want to spill it out. When someone bring up the word "overhyped" or said something…
The internet loves to hate on what the majority loves. I agree with you, let people love what they want to love. I don’t know why they go into the comment section of a drama they hate, just to fight with the people who love that drama.
exactly idk why the ratings pointed out all the plotholes and lack of character development. most of the time…
Most dramas have potholes and plot armour, it’s part and parcel of an intriguing storyline. For what it is, which is a love story, I think they created a compelling romance that people can really stand behind and ship. I feel like the comment section in MDL these days are just people complaining that kdrama is doing what kdrama is suppose to/known for doing. Kdrama is completely not based on reality. People expect perfect leads that’s not based on reality, but want them to be part of a storyline that is completely based on reality. Like what??
How did Hae In older brother died? Was he killed by the crazy lady or it was an accident?
Looks like there was an intentional mechanical fault to the boat and that’s why it capsized. She was hoping to kill off both the kids but HW ended up saving HI
I agree, I wanted her character to be more fleshed out. She played the long con, for what? Their money? I mean, it’s understandable, she’s greedy and a psychopath. But still, it would have added more depth to the story if they explained in more details her motivations. Why did she target that particular family? Why did she finally make her move then and not before etc. For a drama that is very character driven, in the beginning anyways, they did skimp out on character development for the villains. But I’m willing to look past this as the story does give a lot of depth to the main casts and side characters.
Does anyone think Kim Ji Won is too good looking for the male lead? Like it doesn't feel believable they would…
What?? KSH is gorgeous. Beauty is definitely subjective, because for me, I think he’s better looking than KJW. But why are people so obsessed with looks when it comes to kdrama. Hollywood doesn’t seem to be this superficial, judging the looks of leads and deciding whether they are evenly matched in terms of looks. It’s so weird to me that people care so much about looks, more than they do about acting. Is that why some actors who are really good looking but can’t act end up doing so well? You need looks, sure, but acting is also a big requirement.
Also I find it so funny that this drama is currently rated at 8.9 but the reviews being posted are like 6 and below. The haters are really coming out swinging haha.
What an absolute treasure! I’m glad I watched this while it was running so got to experience it with everyone, without running into spoilers. Although the writing floundering in some parts, overall I really enjoyed watching everything unfold. The acting from all the cast members were exceptional. The two MLs were so captivating. I smiled when they smiled, and cried when they cried. They took me on an emotional journey and I believed every emotion they were displayed. Honestly, the two lead’s acting was on another level. They deserve all the praise they’ve been getting, they did a marvellous job.
This drama isn’t perfect, but let’s be honest, no drama is perfect. Everyone has different tastes so they can’t please everyone. The haters are going to hate, you can’t stop them. Sometimes people will pick apart anything that is adored by the majority, just to be different. To those that haven’t seen this yet, please give it a try first to make up your own mind about it. Don’t get dissuaded by some of the negative comments. If anything, this drama is a good example of how good acting should look like! KSH and KJW are on top of their game in terms of acting and chemistry!
I find people especially love to hate on things that are popular. The loud minority
Yes, I just saw one person rated King the Land 10/10 and gave QOT a 6. Haha like what?!! KTL was all fluff with no storyline at all. The acting was also mediocre at times. I guess people just have different taste.
