well tbh if you want something like till the end of the moon I wouldn't really recommend short dramas. Hard to find is however a shorter drama with episodes around 22 min, that has managed to get a rather nice enough score on douban 6.7 which is good for a small production.

Well this one was announced one week earlier, and the tencent one announced their premier 2-3 days before broadcast.

It depends on their company and what other roles they can get. Some might prefer being leads in a small drama, rather then having a small role in a large scale drama. And some hope they can be recognised through small dramas I would guess.

To be honest maybe half of the mls in short cdramas are like this one way or the other. Especially so if it's a republican drama 😅

I haven't seen youku release all eps of a short drama very often, if at all, so there will be new eps each day I believe.

It's a recent trend where they give you access to an "extra ep" if you pay. So instead of the regular 4 eps we used to as VIP on day 1, you got 3 ep and then had to pay for the 4th and so on.
