Overall a nice little drama despite the fact that it's probably quite low budget. I think Yang Xizi and Sun Chenjun did a good job, although you can tell this was filmed a bit earlier then some of their other work. Hopefully more people will give this a go, it's definitively better then many other small dramas.

Xianxia dramas often have quite mean dads so its nice to see some nice fathers in this.

It follows the same characters, so if you want to see their growth and how their relationships come to be yes. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, they have made summary episodes of each case. S1 is really good though, so you would be missing out if you skipped it imo.

Well you never know 😂 Someone might accidentally fall of a cliff and then miraculously return to life a few eps later.

Probably, but I am so happy that iqiyi is finally release older dramas this year 😭 One of them I have waited for for a few years, and well that one was a disappointed in, but a few of the others are so nice.

yes I am really enjoying it! these smaller dramas can be a hit or miss, most of the time a miss for me, but I found this drama to have a lot of heart, and I am happy its finally airing!

There might have been some side characters that were dubbed, but the majority of the cast are dubbed by themselves. Zhou Ye is not singing though, that part is dubbed.

I hope they air The Immortal Ascension or something else first 🙃 So there can be more post production on the others. Pearl Girl doesn't have a license thankfully so that won't be out yet.

You find out the backstory of many characters in TBOY here, and their parents etc. So I think you might enjoy finishing this first, since that will bring more meaning to certain characters in TBOY, when you know more of their story.

Yeah that threw me off a little that they barley interacted. Like he did after all spend a lot more time with her compared to Lu Lingfeng 😅 But I guess they might have filmed something, but it was cut.
