Although its very cliche and a lot of tropes I have seen before I found this to be strangely fun to watch π I am a fan of He Landou so I decided to watch it.
I was a bit slow in starting since this will be the last Lusi drama for a while π But it is really good and very interesting π₯° I am happy to see so many familiar faces.
So I started a bit late, but I have finally caught up. Very good show. Lusi styled Xu Yan very well. I think the acting is very good all around as well. Lusi and William has really good chemistry imo, and its fun to see them having a good time behind the scenes. Fang Lei could really benefit from therapy. It's a shame her family isn't more involved in her life, so she can actually get support from people who cares for her.
If it follows the novel there are three larger arc. The starting one in the immortal realm, demon realm and finally…
Well the fl is a demon living in the human realm. I think the ml cultivates from human to immortal but I can't recall. He is royalty in that life, so they stay there.
In the novel he doesnt turn into an adult. Sima Jiao later makes him into a little kid that doesnt really speak, just acts like a snake in human form. I think they will keep him loyal.
i waat to know if the SFL is good or bad ??? huhuhu she looks so suspicious to me
It's a new character, I cannot remember her from the novel. There were basically no nice female characters in the novel so I think they added her character to give the fl a female friend. She also have a loveline with mr snake so I think she might be a bit morally grey to start with but she will be good later.

It was around 5 years ago I read the novel so I don't remember everything clearly. But in the novel it was something like her death was faked, her memories gone, and she was taken to live in the demon realm. ML finds her there later. ML dies late in the demon arc, and fl outlives him. She then meets him again when he is a human. They end up together.
Is it the same old Xianxia tropes here or is it something different and more unique than others Xianxia drama?
One thing I found to be different from many xianxias was that in the novel they ended with the mortal life. Usually the mortal life is somewhere in the middle.
it's like hard doing her office work in modern world she gone to sleep after being tired and when she woke up…
Like the person above explained, instead of someone traveling in time they usually apply the trope of someone in the real world ending up in a novel/game etc. Easiest way to get by the transmigration ban.
The novel Salted Fish is widely considered Fu Hua's best, most viral work. The other one was quite well liked…
Interesting to hear. I read the novel for this a few years ago when there were rumors about it being made. It felt like a lot of it would have to change to pass censorship.
