Hey, don't be mad. Nobody wants to offend you. It is like it is the show is intense (I don't see crumbs but a whole wedding cake in this show) and the ppl who brought it to life put so much heart and effort in the making. You just can see and feel that they truly cared for it. It didn't feel like censored or repressed at all when I watched it. And you don't know Taotilychee so I think it's not fair just to judge because someone has a different opinion. Lychee's words were meant in a kind not in an offensive way. But maybe we should stop discussing it further. You have you point of view and we have ours. Nevertheless I give you a 💖

Why should an authentic romantic work, regardless if it's about same sex relationship or not, need to be explicit? Ok, that there is censorship at all is something that should be banned but if a story depicts an intense relationship between two ppl and it manages it even without explicit content, shouldn't we consider it a masterpiece instead of avoiding it? Nowadays shows and movies are too often too much about the explicit scenes but the heart and the soul are forgotten. KaH brings that back and punches it in your face. I'm so happy that it exists.

Some might not see it that way but for me and many other fans it's clearly a romantic relationship between the two male leads. It's censored because it's a Chinese drama but the two leads obviously fell for each other (imho). If you have watched Guardian or The Untamed you know what I mean. The mains have an intense chemistry.

I don't know what Architect of Nonsense with funny relationship between the secondary couple means. The secondary couple's relationship is not funny at all. But a very interesting and unusual depiction for a Chinese drama.

There is a short time when also two support characters start something like a relationship. But they don't fit the description secondary couple. These two are very funny (well written characters), maybe that is was Architect of Nonsense meant.

Over all this drama is exceptional in many ways, not only because of the main actors. If you give it a try and fall for it, it will be an emotional roller coaster ride. I never regretted watching it.

Ok, I think you will miss a well made drama, though. Even if it is censored, it often gives you goosebumps seeing the two leads acting together (The Untamed was less bold than this one imho). I think the Detective drama you mentioned was more like queerbait than an honest, but censored BL, not a good comparison.

Nope, a censored original BL drama. The novel was made after the script and contains a bit more obvious stuff (but not too much). The audio drama is the most "uncensored" version. I recommend, you give it a try and watch maybe the first 5 or 6 episodes. Even if the drama doesn't show obvious stuff, the chemistry between the leads is more than you will get from every other chinese BL drama (imho). Mao Zi Jun and Yi Bo Chen are perfect together. The drama also shines with exceptional support characters, music and sets ... and a cool cat 😁

You can feel the care, the whole staff had put into the production of this drama and it's not the usual fluffy stuff (ok the leads are sometimes super fluffy, but not in a cringy way). Hope, you will like it.

Chinese often seem to film when it's cold. I remember that I've seen this in other dramas too (can't remember which though). Wonder why they choose such cold times for the production. Maybe it's better for the make up? Some BTS of other dramas show the actors with small fans, probably to avoid sweating too much. But the KaH set seemed to be very very cold. 🥶
