Ugh, China's regulations, smh "So apparently, the TV stations are not allowed to air content that has anything…
New guidelines issued on March 31 discourage plot lines that contain elements of "fantasy, time-travel, random compilations of mythical stories, bizarre plots, absurd techniques, even propagating feudal superstitions, fatalism and reincarnation, ambiguous moral lessons, and a lack of positive thinking."
“The government says … TV dramas shouldn’t have characters that travel back in time and rewrite history. They say this goes against Chinese heritage,” reports CNN’s Eunice Yoon. “They also say that myth, superstitions and reincarnation are all questionable.”
I'm confused by the title change. Why was that even added?? That isn't even the name of the book, nor the show. There is no colon in the name of this book or show title.
I think you are thinking about BU BU JING QING, the sequel. It's not out yet. It's Baidu page says 2014. No announcement, as of yet.

LOLOL Unnie! Imagine if some religious people were going to knock on the door, what they would think.
This melodrama has a lot of bad things happening but at the same time, its just like a car crash, you can't look away. I honestly did not think I would like it but I am glad I started. It shows a very realistic picture of the consequences of their actions. JJH's character is very stoic, and lacks emotional depth. It's interesting to see because I know a lot of men like that. As much as the subject is touchy, they are doing a well job at presenting it.

I'm sorry you feel bad. :( And why do your messages always come "2 hours ago"? WTF happened to instantaneous?
I hope you get some rest. I will keep checking back with you.
If you like melodramas, than I think you will really like One Warm Word. If melos are just MEH then you will probably like it. If you just can't handle all the feelz of melodramas then I would not even attempt it. LOL

Unnie, I have to tell you, this is one of the best dramas I have seen in a long time. I am totally blown away! They have this young child actor that is knocking it out of the park; she can't be more than 7. The way the storyline describes it, I thought I was going to get something else. The way this looks at things is very interesting. The characters are so well thought out. Their demeanor, the way their stories cross paths, the way the families interact, all very good. As usual, there are those things that only make sense in dramaland, but I am still floored, as it falls into place. They make you want things that should not happen. I want to finish it all NOW, but I fear I will be sad when it's over. The storyline itself is a hard story to tell, the drama itself, and the acting, are PHENOMENAL. You can hate one character one minute then love them the next. Serious seesaw of love/hate.

It's called ONE WARM WORD and it is so super scandalous and wow, I can't even begin to describe it. I feel like I am on a boat and I keep going from side-to-side on who I like in the drama. Very well acted. I am starting ep 4 and it is superb. It is currently airing and has three more weeks until finale. Each episode gets better than the last.

I am starting to only watch shows that are completely over. Helps to not get caught up in all the hype, but more so, I like to marathon. It seems to be my schtick lately. Unless I don't like the show. Then I watch it one episode at a time. Have to get my drama challenge complete before I can start dropping dramas. Then again, if it's dreadful... LOL

If we are going historical cops, then definitely DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME, from China.
Oh, and PRIVATE EYE, from South Korea, is more time period specific, but not historical, is also very good, with a nice hint of humor.
**Side note: If you don't like HK movies, Infernal Affairs was re-made by Korea. It's called THE NEW WORLD.**
