It was not half as good as people are saying. It was good watch, but "time travel" story sucked balls. 9.1 is…
There is no time travel bullshit. Just goes to show you understood shit about what the show was doing.

Agree, I love this show but their childhood part makes me cringe everytime. It's so unnatural & feels fake, I…
True. The show shines because of the two leads amazing chemistry. They always manage to make me laugh. There were plenty of scenes that made me go oh how sweet.

Too bad the next episodes will be focusing on their childhood.Meh.

Title My Mister
One of the best dramas ever. Great cast of characters. Great story and plot. Music was used very well. It didn't feel out of place like in goblin. Pacing was excellent. It was the first time I felt 16 episodes were justified. It didn't drag. Plenty of emotional moments and hits too close to home with me.

Anyone who starts this should know first episode is kinda slow but it still sets up nicely for the remaining episodes.

Show would have been better if they got rid of the whole child hood friend nonsense. Its just so forced and cliche. I don't give care if she said lets marry when we grow up or anything they did during their childhood.

Thanks for reminding us kdramas that childhood friends with hazy memories equals to instant chemistry and fixed destiny lol.Its stupid. Kill me heal me did this trope a 100 times better while avoiding typical cliches. Also I just skip all the other office coworkers screentime. Its just useless filler.

I'm more into their current chemistry. That's the good stuff.

Title Mother
I was going to ask the same. Which one is better, so thanks. I'm gonna stick with the JDrama. And...I just wanna…
I still think its worth watching just to compare but any who .
Kdramas have better production values when compared to jdrama but that's kinda obvious since Japan is more into making anime.

Also a kdrama will somehow put in romance no matter what whether its forced or not. That appeals a lot of people since 99% kdrama are romanctic. For example in kdrama version of mother it tries to set up a romance between the mother and doctor.

Jdramas tend to be very dark and serious sometimes which puts a lot of people uneasy. But I think for me that's the best part because atleast jdramas have great stories whereas kdramas rinse and repeat the same shit over and over again. I used to be very into kdramas but now they're just predictable and stale.

Majority of people praise an actor's good looks in kdramas so that's enough for them to watch whether its shit or not. Just look at Lee Jong Suk his acting is one dimensional and stale but people will watch his dramas because he's handsome.

Many jdramas aren't made as compared to kdramas. Its more of rare ocurrance.

Title Mother
Honestly it was decent. The jdrama was superior in every way compared to this version besides the production values. I rated it a six. It is still worth watching but I preferred the things the jdrama did. I felt more of a connection between the mother and kid in the jdrama. It felt more grounded and realistic. The plot felt more grim and the ending was overall better considering the tone was always meant to be dark. The mother was her only hope and light but it always impossible to have a happy ending because life isn't fair.

The kdrama had a great strong start but it just went downhill in the last few episodes. It got really predictable. Considering how kdramas work these days it was just so obvious she was gonna be safe and will end up living with her teacher. That's why the whole adoption episode just felt so stale and useless. It just created more unnecessary drama. As a result the stakes became low. Also the villain just felt forced into the plot. He served a purpose in the beginning but then he ends up sidelined in majority of the episodes. He only comes when the drama with Yoon bok's birth mother is finished. It was emotional in the beginning but drops the ball in the end episodes. The teacher had so many evidence s and yet the drama just loved dragging the plot. She could have easily cleared her name but nope she's dumb. Disappointed overall.

Is this really as good as or better than the original Japanese version? This is for people who have watched both.…
Honestly after finishing Mother I decided to watch the Japanese version to compare. And so far the Japanese version is better. Better acted and plot doesn't drag too much compared to the Kdrama. The only thing the kdrama did better were the high production values. But honestly that's obvious because the jdrama is almost 10 years old now.

The Kdrama version is still worth watching though. I wasn't that much of a big fan of the kdrama( rated it a 6) because it just got predictable, stale, dragged too much in the final episodes for me.

Most of the people who dislike this show dropped it before it got really good. Episode 12 is where the ball starts…
I mean that's not helping much. I watched all of it but you're telling people have to go through 11 episodes which are an hour long to get a piece of a good story. Thats a lot of dragging and honestly laughable at best. Even after 12 and 13 it reverts back to nothing but cringy romance and whole lot of bad pacing. It would have been better as a 8 episode series. Let's not forget the story isn't even special. It was pretty damn predictable what was going to happen because there were hints here and there.

This show was alright. I really hate the male lead's acting. He's handsome lol but there are a lack of lines on his face when he tries to make different ecpressions.

okay so recently I rewatched this drama again and I wanna say something: I see a lot of comments that people think…
I don't wanna sound rude but that's the problem. It looks pretty with a nice OST and that's pretty much it. There is barely any story, the characters are one dimensuinal.,The main character is annoying and useless, The romance is forced between the main couple, there are way too many plot conveniences and plot holes in the ending. There are way too many problems with the show.

I was super hyped about this drama, I was fully expecting myself to pull an all nighter because I'd be so…
I don't get the hype either. Its average at best. A lot of kdramas have done this type of story millions of times with better plot IMO. Oh right I forgot there's no plot in this sadly....I guess people liked the useless visuals instead of actual story or they had no choice but to fangirl at their husbandoes. Literally the only thing good about is the OST while the rest is trash at best. They spend 12 episodes with a useless forced romance. Its looks pretty but that's it basically. Being rated this high you would expect a great story but no its a whole lot of nothing. The score is actually going lower apparently. It went from 9.4 to 9.1. So that tells people don't like it very much

I'm reading some comments and there is quite a few people comparing this drama to goblin saying this one…
Sadly there is no plot.Despite being a romance story it pretty much fails with all that cringe and plot conveniences. It has so many plot holes which makes it less enjoyable. Goblin being rated this high you would expect a great story but nope there's nothing. The only reason people rate Goblin so high it has their lovey dovey good looking characters and a soundtrack that's wasted on this show. The main couple sucked. There was more chemistry between the bros and his sister then the forced main couple. There is so much melodrama for the sake of melodrama. Its hard to sympathise with Eun Take A.K.A Miss sob story when she has Goblin to take care of all her troubles. The last episode alone was train wreck.

If u haven't watched it then you aren't up for the discussion. Goblin has according MDL more than just a romance genre tag and so obviously fails at doing anything special and fails in not expanding story with those other genres. Lots of Kdramas like Stranger not having a romance genre tag still have some sort of romance. Everything comes down to the story in the end no matter how different the genre.

Being different doesn't mean u can't compare it. You said it yourself you can compare two different Soudtracks, two different Actors, two different productions but for some reason according to you we can't compare two different stories? That makes no sense and you are contradicting yourself. These dramas being rated this high you would expect some good story.Stranger has better writing and Goblin falls apart with silly plot conveniences.

Its pretty good story wise and way better than the Hunger Games.Don't expect Sunshines and Rainbows because there is a bit gore and tragedy. Its different from what people usually watch here. The manga is way more darker though and goes in more details. After watching it people should check out the manga.

Lol now that souds pretty stupid. So according to you we can compare writing, acting, production etc but we can't compare the story which is the most important thing. LMAO. Oh and another thing Writing = Story. The writing in Goblin is absolutely atrocious.
