Wang So.... my whole heart and soul. I was tearing up a bit just reading your bit on him. I have never sobbed as hard during a drama as I did with that one. The scene where he confronts his mom with blood covering his face, all those scenes with his brothers being jerks to him, when he holds hae soo's ashes bc he was too late and realizes she had been writing to him all that time, when we see his lonely back in front of the palace, when hae soo remembers him and knows she left him just like everyone else,.... there's just too many but they had me ugly sobbing. And oh my gosh that video!!! I love it. One of my favorites. I watch it all the time. My friends that I've known for 10 years have never seen me cry but a friend put that video and I started crying haha. But that one in Cruel City; Cruel City was one of the first asian dramas I ever watched so my memory on it isn't perfect I feel I just remember the main bits. Though I do remember Madam Lee and remember liking her so I find it odd that I didn't catch that one part you talked about bc I feel that would have been an automatic yuck from me but I considered the drama very good, and one of my favorites maybe it's time for a rewatch.

Although I don't think I'd rewatch. I actually liked this more than the 2nd season of Bad Guys. Without Ma Dong Seok though, this would have been awful and probably wouldn't have finished it. Haha seeing Lee Jae Yoon play a dark character was also fun to watch, he should definitely do more roles like this. Also enjoyed Jang Ki Yong's character he fit in well.
I freaking loved this movie. Thought it was even better than Violent Prosecutor haha so I'd say if you're scrolling to see if you should give it a shot please doooo
