I've also not experienced those "kick in your face feels/makes you feel mushy" kind of moments with kdramas for a lot longer than I thought. About 6 months and from a 2003 kdrama lol. I used to just watch 90% kdramas but now it's become 85% chinese 10% japanese and 5% korean haha. I have found that c-dramas, when done right, have such better quality & chemistry. Maybe it's because w/ the standard 16 episodes kdramas are given it's hard to make it not feel rushed but I also find that cdramas 45+ episodes are incredibly easier to get through than some kdramas when I've lost my initial interest in them. eventually the cdramas will peak my interest again and have a nice twist or something but with kdramas when you've reached that point it's basically down hill from there. I hope this year will be a good kdrama year and we get some or at least one we'll be able to add to our list of favorites because at the moment I think cdramas are dominating the drama world

Just finished this one tonight. Loved every second of it. I've never watched Li Xian up until this drama, but he blew my mind with his acting. One of the best jobs I've ever seen. All the actors did a phenomenal job. And it was amazing how this one kept the entire story interesting from beginning to end. Most dramas, you're able to guess everything halfway or it just gets repetitive and draggy or worse feels rushed but not this one. And the chemistry between all the characters was out of this world. All the characters had so much depth, it was incredible. I am ready to cry that Li Xian won't be in the second season but the trailer looked pretty good and it's not the actor's fault so I will definitely give it a try. This will be one of those dramas I rewatch a couple times a year. Definitely a favorite. I am shocked by how little watchers this one has considering it's a masterpiece!!! Anyway 10/10 from me : )

Even the break up was initiated by the SML... At least he's respectable... Unlike the FL.... Spineless bitch....…
yea that pissed me off too! if he didn't say anything she probably would have eventually married him smh

Honestly reading the comments and wondering if I’m watching the same series. I find it super slow and not that…
some side characters are more interesting but the FL even up until now (ep 35 I believe) has had no character development and is still all over the place. Disappointing but I have patience lately so I’m able to put up with it somehow lol

Tbh the ideal ending for this show would be YS moves on and HFX realise she messed up, separates from YLM and…
Honestly. it’s what she deserves !

Almost 3 hrs long, and while it did feel a bit long I didn't mind it one bit. Only little complaint I have is I thought there were teeny backstories of a couple characters that I felt were very much needed. But, this movie had me laughing and crying. It's been a good long while since a film or drama made me cry so it felt good haha. Definitely worth a watch. And on Netflix (US)! 9.5/10

If netflix made it available already, there's probably on subscene. If not, wait for next week's episodes ^^

leads look hella young. any chance they'll use older actors for when they "age" in this? or they just staying this age the whole time?

Just watched episode 1. LOVED it. Just what I needed. I am 25 and hearing nothing except marriage from everyone..... very relatable so far.
