this only for no-drama no angst, only fluffy drama kind of people i guess the only tense moment is their competition…
Interesting, may I know why you think it is badly written? I also enjoy the behind the scene stuffs, I enjoy watching a bunch of talented actors having fun doing rehearsal takes vs the actual scenes, and they clearly put a lot of work on their billiard skill to make it believable.

It has everything to do with personality, age, education, and exposure to life and art. It is like ink blot tests…
I have never heard of this test, sounds interesting. I’m gonna look more into it. Thank you very much!

I found it fascinating that people’s opinions about this drama are mostly at the extreme opposites, very few…
I was watching together with a friend. I enjoyed the details, the subtlety, the micro-expression, all these small gestures tell a lot of story to me. But my friend completely missed that. When FL sees a couple making out in front of the hotel, she turns awkward and rambles about hot dog. This scene tells me that she is shy and not into PDA. When ML tries the bad hot dog, it’s his way of trying to get to know her. I find it refreshing that this is the way the show introduces the characters to the audience, yet some people completely miss that. Since this is about 2 introverts, the show doesn’t use much dialogue or big gestures to deliver their story. My friend found it boring when they are just eating and not talking, to me it shows her willingness to eat with a stranger, and her being okay with the awkwardness of the situation, which means she is slowly gaining interest towards him. I found it really relatable. The scenes that are seemingly mundane, somehow fascinate me. It also helps that the actors are really good at showing these emotions, otherwise I would probably find it boring too.

Because this drama is just plain one way traffic without any real tense moments. So it can be easy stress free…
I did and I enjoyed it, that’s why I am curious about those who experienced it differently. There’s no right or wrong here, I’m just curious why. If they don’t get the feelings from this drama, then which drama does? Are they generally not into romance? Because i think the romance in this drama is pretty much up there in cdrama world.

I think that’s not quite the case here, it’s more about the feeling that you get when watching the drama. People can feel the angst when watching angsty drama, it’s just that some people enjoy feeling the angst, and some people don’t. This one is different, some people feel the butterflies, the surge of oxytocin, thus they enjoy it. But some people just don’t get those feelings at all, thus they find it boring. It’s like when people enjoy the fear of watching a horror film, you don’t even feel the fear. It is almost like there is a filter in our brains that makes this drama is perceived extremely different depending on individuals.
I’m starting to wonder if this is similar to the blue/black dress vs white/gold dress situation 😅

That’s the thing, even though there’s not much “excitement” yet some people still find
this drama exciting, and some people just don’t. Why is that 🤔

I found it fascinating that people’s opinions about this drama are mostly at the extreme opposites, very few are in between. Some found it really slow and boring AF, yet some found it really enjoyable that they are really having a hard time to move on, rewatching it over and over again. I wonder WHY. What does it say about us watchers? Does it have anything to do with our personality? What is it that makes our brains digest this drama so differently? Is there any psychological reason behind it? Or is it as simple as some people like spicy food and some people don’t? Any psychology experts here who care to explain? I’m genuinely curious 😅
