Actually both lead characters are smart and capable individuals who work hard pursuing their own dreams. They love and support each other, but his life doesn’t revolve around her and vice versa.
They actually has massive self respect, FL values her self worth.

I think her actions are understandable. I see her as a character who values her self-worth.

I like his character a lot too. He’s smart and capable individual who works hard to pursue his own dream. He loves the FL, but his life is not just about the her. I love that they wrote his character as balanced person. Often times in romance drama ML is only portrayed from his love life angle.

At that time, all she knew was he dumped her over the phone with no explanations, and she saw him together with another girl right after. That was cruel. I understand why she hated him at that point. She said hurtful things to him, but I don’t think she wanted to harm his company. She just prioritized her career at that time. She tried many other ways to still win the project. I think this is a good conflict for her character. She wants her promotion, but she also wants him to achieve his dreams. She’s conflicted, she said it herself at some point.

Objectively speaking, the two dramas are quite similar though. The plot structure and the tone of the drama are similar. Both are second chance romance, both characters are similar age, both are business related.. I think associating the 2 dramas are inevitable, especially the same actor is leading both dramas.
Now, whether you like one over the other is very subjective, this is where comparing the two dramas could be insulting.

I liked it too! I like the first half better. The second half becomes business drama, it’s more angsty and the plot is just like any typical idol dramas. It’s not a bad story at all, it’s just nothing new. I like the main characters a lot, this drama had so much potential but wasn’t well executed unfortunatelly.

I agree. I wish they could have shown the 2 leads working together more towards the end. That would make the ending more satisfying imo

That’s interesting. I suppose it’s very subjective. I don’t have an issue with her potrayal of the character. She’s very much type A personality, and I get it that it could be unbearable for some.

I guess this plot creates a conflict where both leads have to choose between their own dreams vs each other’s. The show doesn’t need to make him interested in her romantically though, I thought it would be better if he’s doing it purely for business. He doesn’t have to be the bad guy to create conflict.
