Oh it's ok . And according to the current synopsis there is no doubt that Xu Chong Xu is the main villain here. Moreover the guy playing Chong Xu always plays the role of a selfish villain in the disguise of a tragic hero or victim.

No there are possibilities that their ending might change. For example In the famous drama TEN MILES OF PEACH BLOSSOM (starring YANG MI & MARK CHAO) the second leads Dong Hua Dijun and Bai Feng Jiu( played by VENGO GAO & DILREBA DILMURAT) didn't have a happy ending. But in the drama THREE LIVES THREE WORLDS ,A PILLOW BOOK/ ETERNAL LOVE OF DREAM they were the leads and they had a happy ending because the fans wanted it so much. One more thing ,the endings of dramas also depend a bit on their fans when it is specially a sequel of their fav couples . Dong Hua and Bai Feng jiu are adored worldwide. But this Pearl Eclipse (starring YANG MI AND WILLIAM CHAN)is not a hit like the TEN MILES OF PEACH BLOSSOM so its sequel i.e this drama might have a HE or SE.
P.S : you can try watching Ten miles of peach blossom and Eternal love of dream . Both are very good. Even though Eternal love of dream is related to Ten miles of peach blossom u can still watch it without watching ten miles of peach blossom because the storyline of the leads is diff as I mentioned earlier just the characters are same. If u want I can recommend u some dramas.

@ lachimolala Yep In the pearl eclipse Tilan and Chu Zhong Xu were the second leads and they had Sad Ending, Tian Qian Zi was just a side character with very less screen time and nothing special between him and Tilan was shown . In The Pearl Eclipse Tilan and Chu Zhong Xu gets married (( it was a forceful marriage proposed by Tilan's kingdom and Chu Zhong Xu was not interested in her and also didn't know about her unlike this synopsis)) Chu Zhong Xu hated her at first because Tilan looked like his dead consort Zi Zan and constantly raped her night after night but later both mutually fell in love had a son and then died together in a war which was led by Tilan's brother and Tian Qian Zi. As for the main leads in The Eclipse played by Yang Mi and William Chan ,they had a bittersweet ending and for the welfare of the country they remained separated. Hope this one helps you.
I really don't like this FL. In a drama if both the leads are not equally attractive it really turns me off and this is the problem in most of the chinese and korean dramas . The male lead is handsome (though very skinny ) while the Female lead is below average in everything whether it is looks ,acting, etc . In most of the modern dramas the clothes worn by FLs are horrible and they are so skinny ( chinese entertainment industry is horrible) and after they do plastic surgery they look just like those chinese tiktokers.
umm yes . I liked this one very much when i watched this years ago at that time I was inexperienced but after watching 200+ dramas i still think this one is in my top 5.
