MXL does ultimately retain her memories of all past events. Because FL is the chaos pearl, she technically cant die. Its indicated that the two divine artifacts (Book of Fate/Pearl) just slumber and reawaken about 10,000+ years later. The brilliance of the author in her plotting is that when MXL dies, she would comeback to the mortal realm- just 10,000 years later so then the FL/ML would have to start again with meeting each other etc etc. And they wouldnt be the XXC/MXL pairing we got attached to. But Now bc XXC is going back to the past- hes only going back to meet and save the younger MXL. So there is no 10,000 year waiting period and MXL is in fact the one who does have the HE with the ML- finally... in the timeline we are currently watching rn. Which the FL as A'Zhu actually saw way back when, cause remember she is master of time/space bc she was trying to frantically search for the right timeline when she was trying to save a piece of Zhao Ming's soul.

ZM as the now dark lord is still suppressed in the dark abyss, XXC is about to go on a one way trip to save MXL in the past, cause she just died in this timeline. In the end of the novel, the part of ZM’s soul that the FL saved to go into the reincarnation pool so they could meet again, during the events where fate changed ZM’s history, that ultimately became XXC, will merge back again with the dark lord. So MXL will end up with the dark lord, who also has part of XXC in him now. ZM who is now the dark lord is who the FL was firstly in love with… so she has both “personalities” in the demon lord to love now.

FYI- ep 26 array question answered above

For the array part. The immortal array was damaged in the previous episodes when the dark clan was trying to cross into the human realm. If you remember it was Qian Guang (now lifelong shadow man) who created the very first Immortal Array to seal the dark abyss. Remember QG was suppose to have the red death position in that very first array 6000 years ago he created. In present time ML went to QG, now shadow man, to ask how it could be resealed, QG basically said it would take the three most powerful people to seal it XXC, MXL and He Zian Wu. 1 position would have to be the death position the other 2 would be fine. Everyone knew not to trust NXY at this point bc of the revelations. That why when XXC went to talk with hottie monk, he said in case he died hottie monk would have to take over the Immortal Alliance. Hottie monk asked why is he trusting NXY in the first place, he is no good. XXC said he is the only array builder in the world capable of rebuilding the Immortal Array. Sooooooo.... they ended up trapping He Zian Wu towards the end of ep 26, NXY put him in the death position for the Immortal Array and XXC and MXL were in non life threatening positions. But of course NXY did a double cross and created an array where all 3 positions were death positions- that way he could get rid of XXC (his competition for MXL), HZW (who would have ultimately used and harmed the Chaos Pearl) in one fell swoop. NXY knew that MXL had the protective jade pendant so she would easily survive the third death position. But as we saw MXL secretly gave XXC the jade pendant, without anyone knowing, so she ultimately died while XXC survived instead.

NXY did die. And Tian Ming does “die”, after technically sacrificing himself so he wouldnt hurt MXL/Pearl in the battle the two had, but since he is a divine artifact he can’t truly die and will be in slumber for 10,000-20,0000 years. No one knows the exact time. Since TM can rewrite fate and alter history so there are lies and falsehoods he was "happy" to leave the mortal realm bc MXL would always remember him this time- she would not lose her memories of him, even though they weren’t the best memories 🤣 A recurring theme and important point NXY kept asking MXL in the novel early on about not remembering him.

Later on there is a forced wedding that takes place between the now Tian Ming and MXL, (it’s assumed that the ML is dead) but our ML shows up right before the third bow occurs.

We know before ZM and Chaos Pearl met after the 3 realms were formed and that way after that the dark clan was sealed into the abyss. Dont know if the demons existed or not before the Divine Clan was fallen into the dark clan by FL. But yeah Anger Demon being a part of the original Divine Clan...LOL. Maybe he is lots of generations later... 🤣

ZM thinks that FL is the one that ultimately suppressed him in the abyss... which wasnt true, it was Fate. ZM was suppressed in the abyss cause he was going to annihilate the divine clan bc of the child sacrifices. The Divine clan asked Fate to take care of ZM cause they were scared of this human with the extra aperture. After Fate wrote into the book to erase ZM true intentions and identity, FL asked that Fate reverse this entry which Fate was unwilling to do- hence this lead to the big fight between the two and the FL casting the Divine race into the abyss as the demon clan and her losing her powers and memory

Question is why didnt the divine race just kill ZM- cause they didnt have the power to with ZM's extra aperture and sword Jun Tian so they asked the Book of Destiny to intervene. The Book took form after the Divine Race made this request. So TM now in that form is in charge of the laws of fate- what is rewritten, the lies, the falsehoods. Chaos Pearl is in charge of time/space... The Book of Destiny (TM) couldn't kill ZM, per the fate laws- so it just altered history and suppressed ZM in the abyss. FL was able to cast his soul into the reincarnation cycle waiting for both the soul and physical body to merge together after 10,000 years. She knows this will happen bc girl is in charge of time and space so she looked ahead to make sure it would happen before she lost her power and memories.

The way the two first met was that the Chaos Pearl was injured after the war that was briefly explained in ep1 of the drama. The pearl fell from the sky injured into the human realm where ZM then found the dull pearl and then nurtured and gave the pearl human form through his blood.

These are just my interpretations from reading the novel... others can add

The original divine race fell due to the FL in the battle that occurred right after ZM was rewritten in the book of destiny (yup girl was pissed)- they became the demon race. No one including the Time Keeper/Wheel character remembered that this occurred bc again Destiny intervened and rewrote into his book. The reason why the Time Keeper/Wheel character is the only one left there is bc the FL created him before she lost all her power and memories after this battle... he is not a god.

Disappearing Divine Race Question. I think there were two people who asked me what happened to the Disappearing Diving Race in the novel... see below

We finally found out that "Pavillion Guy" He Xian Wo's end game was that he wanted to ascend the celestial stairs at the end of ep 26 bc his hatred was for the divine clan and he wanted to kill them all because He Xian Wo was present as a child sacrifice to actually witness the real version of events with the battle of the emperor Zhao Ming and the divine clan and the 3000 children that Zhao Ming was trying to save from being sacrificed to the divine clan. No one has been a black and white villain here.

The Chaos Pearl fell to the human realm when she was injured after the war that was explained briefly in ep 1. Zhao Ming found the dull and injured chaos pearl and he nurtured and transformed her into a human with his blood.

Zhao Ming who is now the Demon Lord/God was always in their timeline, he was just bound. Right now he is a whole other person to MXL and XXC since he is just first introduced to them but this will later change. The person that MXL ends up with is the Demon Lord with XXC characteristics/soul as well. Works out better for ML/FL cause then hottie monk has the headache of being the leader of the Immortal Alliance. 🤣

I can’t remember if in the novel the FL as HDZ also took some out when she was faking to save Zhao Ming. Even in the novel the wheel/time character asked at one point where did they all go, cause he was the only one there. We do know that some are on the human realm as said in ep 26 that those who do evil deeds have to change their face every 100 years.

👏👏👏 you were smart enough to use 0.25 playback speed. I rewound and paused many, many, many more times than you bc I didn’t think of using that feature. 🙄

When He Xian Wo ascended the stairs at the end of ep 26 his hatred was for the divine clan and he wanted to kill them all (and there weren't any there to kill after all 🤣)because He Xian Wo was present as a child sacrifice to actually witness the real version of events with the battle of the emperor Zhao Ming and the divine clan and the 3000 children that Zhao Ming was trying to save from being sacrificed to the divine clan. He Xian Wo yelled that the world was "fake" and that Zhao Ming was "not guilty" at the very end of ep26 bc He Xian Wo actually somehow kept his memory intact of what REALLY happened before the Book of Destiny altered events into what we saw were the "fake" speedy subtitles that ran across our screen. The Book of Destiny altered events to make Zhao Ming look guilty bc the Devine clan was afraid of him and the power he accumulated.

Any other Twilight Zone sci-fi nerds yelling "It's a Cookbook!... It's a Cookbook!" at the end of ep 26??? 🤣🤣🤣

The emperor is good. The book of fate was rewritten because the divine clan did not like the power that the emperor accumulated @Micha went into some great lengthy posts about this part and how the FL did not betray him. The brilliance at the end of ep26 when He Xian Wo ascended the stairs is that He Xian Wo was present as a child sacrifice to actually witness the real version of events with the battle of the emperor and the divine clan and the 3000 children. He yelled that the world was "fake" and that Zhao Ming was “not guilty” at the very end of ep26 bc he actually somehow kept his memory intact (maybe HDZ?) of what REALLY happened before the Book of Destiny altered events to frame Zhao Ming. Sooooooo good! Better than the novel! 🫶🫶🫶

Ahhhh... so them being together at the end AND both retaining their memories is the key as to what sets it right then from the point in time where Destiny intervened to rewrite the "fake" world. Thx for the explanation!
